FinlandBreakfast wasn't that nice but the staff was friendly and helped us with all our inquiries. I don't know why they didn't clean the room in between the two days we stayed there and there was no shower gel or any drinking glasses in the room. You need to ask the hair dryer from the staff and they let you borrow it.

United StatesIt's not what I don't like. There are few options for dinner but if you walk out to the busy street and turn left, there is a bakery that serves some quick dinner like hoppers and roti.
This boutique hotel is right of the busy street but it's very quiet and peaceful. The manger lives within the premises and he is so nice. The room is clean. Wifi and AC work good. The shower has a curtain so no wet bathroom here. Breakfast is served on the rooftop. Dinner can be arranged with the hotel.

Sri LankaThe internet connection facilities were exceptional and very reliable. The location is so close to the city and yet it feels like you are in the country. The view of the Hunnasgiriya mountain range and the Temple of the Tooth is simply breath-taking. The layout of the hotel is designed with antique fittings and furniture to give you that aristocratic feeling which is quite fantastic. The meals served was very hot, healthy and delicious. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner which were all beyond our expectations.

United KingdomWe have stayed at this hotel a few times. This hotel is in a quaint neighborhood. It is wonderfully situated a bit to the side of the busy areas just close enough to all the action as to be convenient. The service is genuine and impeccable and the style is in harmony with SriLanka. The staff of Blue Pillar are very friendly and will bend over backwards to serve you and make sure you have a pleasant enjoyable trip. They really take care of every detail so that their guests feel special. I loved the comfy bed, hot water and always available Wi-fi. This is my most favourite hotel out of all the places I stayed in Sri Lanka. I will be back again in December and will definitely stay at the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Blue Pillars Hotel in Kandy again and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I departed, I was met with warm hospitality and a truly enjoyable stay. The location of the hotel is fantastic, offering breathtakingly views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. It provided a serene and peaceful atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city canter, yet within walking proximity to all the popular attractions in Kandy. The rooms at Blue Pillars were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep, and the amenities provided were great. I particularly loved the attention to detail in the room design, with a perfect balance between modern features and traditional Sri Lankan elements. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment I checked in, they were friendly, courteous, and always ready to assist with any request. Their knowledge of the local area and willingness to help plan activities and sightseeing trips made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's dining experience was equally impressive. The restaurant offered a diverse menu, featuring both local and international cuisine. Each meal I had was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend trying some of the traditional Sri Lankan dishes; they were simply amazing! Overall, my stay at Blue Pillars Hotel in Kandy exceeded all expectations. The combination of its beautiful location, comfortable rooms, delightful dining experience, exceptional service, and great facilities and value for money for an extraordinary stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Kandy. I will certainly be returning to this wonderful hotel on my next visit to Kandy!

United StatesIt's a bit of a walk to the temple or the main streets of town, we would walk during the day, but tuktuk at night. Wifi was not working on the first floor, but there was a lounge on the second floor we could use, or the third floor terrace.
The staff was very helpful and kind, did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was lovely on the upper terrace. Family room on the first floor was spacious, clean, and in great condition.

SwitzerlandHowever, please see the attached pictures as pictures speak louder than words. 1st. = Our room was under colonized by ants. This is only one part. There was lots more in the bathroom. 2nd. = we had the first day and night no access to the internet. On the first day, we had to move two times in three different rooms due to internet issues, and ants colonized our second room. We had tried every corners in the hotel to searched for some signals, no success (as picture 2nd.) The staff let us speak on the phone with a lady who is the owner of the hotel. She had spoken in an unpleasant tone and showed no customer orientation attitude on the phone. She has pushed responsibility back to us and didn't even apologised for inconveniences. She kept only saying she couldn't do anything. So we have said to her that if we should take responsibility for her lack of organization, she said nothing and kept saying the same thing that she couldn't do anything for the issues. So we said we would report this to booking.com and not going to pay for the whole price. She was upset and answered, "Okay, you don't have to pay for tonight, I don't run the business for money," and she hung up the phone without saying goodbye. We have had internet on the next day. When we checked out, they charged us full price with deduction for 5 USD. We said that the owner said free of charge for our inconvenience? Then the staff asked the owner, so she sent back the message as photo enclosed. We knew it, hence we have had taken photos, we have no interest in staying for free anyway but we wanted to see how trustworthy the hotel is to the customers.
The first good impression of this hotel was a friendliness and helpful of staffs. They were polite and patience.
