I loved my stay here and would always come back. The atmosphere is very chilled, you can see a lot of stars and fireflies at night and enjoy a bonfire. It is close to the center but still a calm place in the middle of the nature. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. So is the owner, he is taking care of all your needings and is a warm person with a beautiful soul. He also has a good taste in music and a lovely dog! ;) Thank you for everything Tharu <3

Location very beautiful..toilet not upto the standard Not cleaned properly ..lighting facility to be provided near to toilet..Dog is barking and chasing unable to go to toilet during night The area is beautiful surrounded by hills..enjoyed lot Except toilet others are excellent.

Best sleep in Sri Lanka and best massage I have had! The tarp over the tent made it more comfortable, warm and the rain sounded lovely! Not as noisy as other places with their beautiful wildlife. Slept like a log. I wanted to book more nights but they were sold out. Cozy spot and you can see the trains.

If you know that your going to sleep in a tent this place is perfect. It's a 5min walk outside of Ella which is amazing because you sleep with the jungle sound. It's clean and there's even a hot shower.

Very nice and cozy little camping-site right next to Ella train station. Very central but quiet and natural! Friendly and welcoming family which helps you out when needed! Tents are nice and practical, even with a lot of rain! Bathroom is clean and nearby! Amazing prize for such beautiful camping stay. Staff's were very friendly and helpful in every possible way. It was a great experience and the veiw from the camp is amazing. Loved the two days we stayed there.

We wanna thank this place and it’s owner for everything 😍 “Freedom Camp” is about how to be yourself. Such nice people. Incredible nature! We took one tent and stayed four days. Sometimes we got together in the main area, which was the kitchen and lobby at the same time and had interesting conversations with different guys from all over the world. We listened to great music and ate pizza or something else 🤓 We could take whatever we wanted from the kitchen. I mean cups, plates, water, milk, tea etc. Despite the fact that Ella is a camp in nature, the guys have hot water 🤩 And the last but not the least is total safety. No stealing, fighting or poisonous spiders 🙌 With love and peace, Ilia and Marina 😘
