Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceHave been here twice. Will come back. Very nice and chill location. Jungle all arounf you. The bungalow is very clean and large. No problem with mosquitoes at night. The owner is a super helpful and charming. He showed us around his farm and helped us book our safari. The best of all is the food they serve. Traditionell (mostly vegetarian) sti lankan food. It was a good experience all round.

United KingdomWe enjoyed two nights in the treehouse, Prabath organised our safari (which was amazing!) and taxis and was very helpful. We had dinner and breakfasts which were delicious and authentic. The river near by is amazing and you can see monkeys in the trees.

United KingdomThe visual sign posts to get there could do with updating + more of them.
The tree house is in the grounds of family home in a beautiful jungle setting. Delicious meal served by host in the garden diner was a very reasonable extra. Super helpful with excursions to see Elephant Transit Home as well as Udalawala Jeep Safari. The host's recommended jeep driver/guide was superb! We had a wonderful experience overall. Thank you, Brookline Safari Resort.

SwitzerlandIt's a really special place in the middle of the jungle. I recommend to go there if you are ready for an adventure. The (for us vegan) dinner was very good and generous! You can book everything directly there (dinner, breakfast, safari, transport...). The host is really friendly and helpful. We loved it.

GermanyNot complaints, but words to the wise: good bug repellant is a must at all times if you don't want to become a feast for the mosquitos! Also, seal any open snacks in ziploc bags -- I forgot and left a banana in a mere fabric bag in our room overnight, and both bag and banana showed a huge bite taken out of them in the morning by some critter, oops! Also, transport both to and from the accommodation was just barely possible in normal cars, but they had to go very slow the last couple kilometers due to the very rough road -- just something to be aware of. Consider booking transport through the accommodation so the driver knows exactly what they are in for, or taking a tuktuk between the paved road and the accommodation.
If you want to experience a rugged jungle adventure in warm hospitality, don't hesitate to book here. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We also ate like kings, the value, variety and amount of food were exceptional. We had to change the times of our safari and transport bookings a couple times, and it was no problem at all. The sounds of the jungle at night were absolutely beautiful. We are not really rugged types and were glad to return to "civilization" after two days, but it was an absolutely unforgettable stay for our family.

Sri LankaThe host was very friendly and food was good! We lived in the middle of the Jungle, so it was a real adventure! By booking the accomondation we overviewed that we booked a room instead of the tree house. I would recommend to stay at the tree house, so read closely what you are going to book.

PolandPure nature! It was amazing to spend the night in the middle of the jungle. The host, Prabhat, was very friendly, he paid all his attention to make our stay pleasant, he took us to the river for swimming. If you don’t have a problem with animals and insects which can visit your room, you will feel great in this płace, very close to the nature.

SpainThere were bugs like spiders in the rooms, specially in the tree house but the staff were kind to us and let us change rooms.
The safari organized by the accommodation was very good. Breakfast was good and well prepared to take it out for the safari. The surroundings of the place are really pretty, including the river and animals.

GermanyThe tree house was a really good experience. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone who likes nature. It's located a bit far from town, but it's worth it. It's surrounded by trees everywhere so you get to experience nature closely. The owner is very good person and will help you arranging a Safari trip and TukTuks if you need them. His dog is also very cute! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there and everything tastes just amazing!

Sri LankaTo stay in this little Jungle Hut was absolut lovely and felt like living in the middle of mother nature! Good to know: There is just one Bunglow, so it was a very quiet stay together with my boyfriend and lots of nature sounds. And there´s also a house next to the bungalow for other guests! The owner was not here during our stay, but he was very helpful and gave us a call every day to organise Safari, transport and food! The food, cooked by his wife, was the best rice and curry I had so far in Sri Lanka! And it was lovely prepared as we got it on a plate with big leaves! And the owner arranged a very nice safari by his friend ...., he picked us up in the early morning and made the 6 hour trip with us! I can highly recommend this place, when you need a quiet place in the middle of nowhere with excellend food and lovley owners. Thank you for everything ☺

United KingdomQuite isolated. The host was a little pushy as soon as we arrived. He offered a massage but not sure how much experience he had. He also asked me to bring a towel but then removed it when it was covering me and was just a little too hands on. The plunge pool wasn’t swimmable. And not as it looks in the photos.
The tree house was quite sweet, perfect if you want to immerse yourself in the jungle. The food was great! The host was very understanding when we explained we needed to leave early due to an emergency.

NetherlandsBe aware this is a jungle experience, so luxury comes from nature and the warm atmosphere Prabath and his family provides.
Prabath (the owner) describes it as: “sorry, but my house is a jungle”. That is a 100% accurate description. If you are looking for a jungle experience this is the right place!
