Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

LithuaniaTerribly poor, sad breakfasts at the hotel. We went to other restaurants for breakfast. The hotel does not live up to the star claims. At the reception, the staff is only in the morning and in the afternoon, at night, when the traffic jams in the room were knocked out, we searched for staff throughout the hotel. There is a lot of audibility in the rooms when the neighbors are taking a shower, the water pipes are buzzing. The door to the balcony is old, it does not close tightly, you can hear a lot of noise from the road. The window in the bathroom overlooks the hallway, i.e. everything you do in the toilet can be heard in the corridor of the hotel. To clean the room, you need to leave a room key, the staff does not have a duplicate of the keys.
I stayed at the hotel 7 years ago, it was new then and everything was fine. Not a bad view in the breakfast room at the very top, but the hotel doesn't take full advantage of it. Location, parking.

RussiaThe room did not match photos and description on booking.com. There was only one small window for three rooms. There was no minibar, coffee maker and toaster although they were listed in the room description. Both bedrooms were equipped with A/C, but only one had a console

Also a good location 1-3 minutes from Italian restaurant, grocery store, laundry, pharmacy, etc. Even if there were some problems (for example, the Internet fell one day) charming and attentive staff of the hotel answered our requests and everything quickly returned to normal :)

The room is big and clean but its very old. the bed is very squeaky and the furniture looks odd and old. the room was quiet and clean which was most important to me. there was a mini bar also which was almost not there in any other hotel.

AustraliaThe entrance looks dirty and the lobby is dark and musty. we got a surprise when we arrived as it looked like an old dilapidated empty hotel. It was not appealing at all. Has ugly neon signs advertising a sky bar which was shut and the place was dead.
The rooms are large, clean and have a fantastic view. We loved the ergonomic pillows.
