the owner with his biggest and cutest Labrador in Sri Lanka. The owner who earns money and supports poor and needy people, so if you want to help people in Sri Lanka, it is worth leaving your money with Chami. You can also eat great fish at Villa Chami (I recommend it with tomato sauce). And Maja the dog is the entertainment of the entire Bentota beach, swimming and playing in the waves of the sea. People come to take photos and videos of Maja. A special couple Chami and Maja

Chami, the owner of the Villa and Rathur were so kind in helping us with organizing for us different tours and facilities. Rathur has taught me surfing🏄‍♀️ I had two classes with Rathur and on the second one I was already confidently surfing.😍 The team has supported whatever request we had. We have traveled with family and with elders and all our family really liked the Villa and the team and their support. The rooms were very clean, which was important for us. And the Villa was located in such a good location that there was a sea food restaurant exactly behind the villa. It was very near to the market 5 minute with tuk tuk 🛺 or 10-15 minute by foot. It was near to the train which is good in case one wants to travel around by train. The beach was very clear and very near to the villa, just 10 minute walk and if you ask Rathur, he will show the shortest way to there as well. The most importantly the beach was exactly what I was expecting for swimming.

The staff were really lovely and helpful. The owner helped us organise both a river safari and surf lessons for us all. We really enjoyed both activities and it made the stay very enjoyable. The breakfast as well was great with fruits, eggs and tea/coffee. Definitely would recommend staying here

As a 3 star hotel, there is not much to complain about. It was perfect for the price.

Big, clean and comfortable rooms with fridge, AC and fans. Owner and workers all amazingly friendly and helpful. Made our stay a great one. And breakfast was outstanding!

The view from Balcony is of other buildings but for the price I must not grumble. Iv extended my stay from 1 to 7 days.

Hotel Management was good 👍 kind and thoughtful. The business and your wellbeing matters. For the price it's a Good Value and I walk to the beach. You have a short 100m walk which includes an adventure over a railway line. This is good fun if you're able bodied. Good bed with Mosquito Nets and nice furniture spacious room. Restaurant and other stuff walking distances.

amazing , relax location. few minutes away from the beach. room was great, it was super clean. they gave us really good and friendly service. we requested a English breakfast and it was over the moon. highly recommend this place for everyone.

Well, for someone staying in this area (not only Chami Villa) you have to be aware of the train passing by few times per day. Not an issue for us, but it might cause a discomfort for someone else.

We loved the balcony and sunset view, very big and comfortable bed and a a lot of space to keep our stuff. Very tasty breakfast and finally good coffee. Also one of the best omlettes in Sri lanka ;) You can also count on the staff to help you organise things. Oh, and I really appreciate that we could stay till teh evening on the check out day! it has great locataion, 4 minutes and you are on the beach. Also few restaurants around, so no need to go to busy city center.

The shower attachment toilet seat was broken, T V was not working no bedside table no tea making facilities ect. But the bath towels wardrobe bed was great

The apartment was advertised at 7,750 including breakfast special offer per day when we arrived your company has increased it to 9500 with no breakfast, walk to the beach was hazardous with many steps so we had to leave stayed one night, your booking arrangement was incorrect we will not recommend your company to anyone. If you get to the end of this, you may think, this guy is nitpicking and this review is in contrast with everything else said. The reality is, we were devastated at the contrast in reality vs the other reviews here. To the point where I question some of them. We had such high hopes and were massively let down. Ok so it's become clear that the property has a number of different rooms and they vary in size, quality and facilities. Despite this, the villa advertises them all under one heading on booking.com. What this means is you think you're getting a room with a TV, Fridge and a certain amount of space, but when you turn up, you get none of that. This is exactly what happened to us. We wanted to have a couple of relaxing days for this stint of the trip. We were going to go to the beach and chill in the room a fair bit. We specifically selected this place as it was supposed to be a reasonable size and have a fridge in the room. On arrival this was not the case at all. There was no Fridge as advertised. There was no TV as advertised. There was literally not enough room to open a suitcase. We had about 2 foot space running around the bed. We explained to the owner about the difference in what we booked to reality and he merely offered to cancel the booking and suggested we go elsewhere. Not the easiest thing really when you're in a. Foreign country with all your cases. He then quiped "if you'd had been here 10 minutes earlier you'd have got a better room". This was enfuriating as it should not come down to luck and timing but you should get what you pay for! We spent the first 24hrs with zero WiFi. We complained about this and found that the upstairs WiFi extender was inside one of the other rooms. They eventually moved it to a closer location but even then it was giving us 1 bar and dropping out a lot. It was a race to the hot water. Like much of sri-lanka, it's a tank based hot water system.

The property was clean and in a reasonably good location. If you are beach focused, it was in a very good location.
