We stayed for three nights with our two daughters (6 and 9). A wonderful place. Wonderful views and the staff is great . Authentic friendly people. The breakfast and other food was exceptionaly good. Try rice and curry. Thanks for everything!

We had a lovely stay at Chille Ville. Sharma and his team are great hosts and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Arjun and the other chefs made lovely food for our dinner and breakfast, with a great mix of traditional Sri Lankan and western foods!

This was our second stay at the Chill Ville - less than a year after the first one, so it's safe to say that it is one of our favourite places in Sri Lanka. The rooms, the garden, the view and the food - everything is exceptional and arriving felt like coming home. Sharma and his team are kind and professional and took every care to make our stay comfortable and memorable. After mentioning that I'd developed a gluten intolerance since our last visit, they made sure that I got lots of delicious options. We'll definitely come back!

The only thing I’d say is that the property is very high up meaning you are sometimes in the clouds and this can cause the rooms to smell damp.

The pool and the view from the rooms is absolutely amazing and it’s so nice to be outside of busy Ella in the mountains. The staff are also lovely and the food is great.

The phone in room 4 was set for alarm at odd times and woke me up a few times in the night. It would be great if this can be fixed.

The staff were exceptional. Their attitude and approach made us feel welcome, relaxed and so so comfortable. We highly rate this property.

The room we had was on the passage to another room, which meant that every time people passed by the room, they looked inside, which was not very comfortable. We ended up having the curtains closed most of the time, which was a shame since the view from the room is actually very nice.

We had a really wonderful stay at Chill Ville. From the truly breathtaking view to the delicious food and the amazing hospitality, this is a wonderful place to stay in the quiet, beautiful countryside around Ella. A special mention to Sharma and his team who were wonderful with our 20 month old toddler. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Not a dislike but guests should be aware that many rooms are up a steep hill / steps.

The view is outstanding and the property is well laid out. Sharma and his team were excellent and very friendly. Great value too. Pool is ‘refreshing’ but not cold.

Way up in the hills above Ella in the most serene location, our stay here was a delight. Sharma & his team take such pride in their work & make you feel so at home. Special mention to the hotels Tuk Tuk driver who is on hand for trips into Ella and suggested a great place to stop for the best views of the 9 arch bridge.

We stayed a Chill Ville for 4 nights and had an amazing stay. Sharma (manager) was so helpful, he went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Breakfast each morning was lovely. Fresh eggs cooked how you like them, fresh fruit and had some tasty French toast. The tuk tuk drivers were great, took us out every day and gave us their phone numbers so that we could arrange pick ups. We enjoyed tea in the afternoon looking out at the beautiful view. All food and drinks were great (especially the margaritas). Rooms were spacious and WiFi worked well. We were leaving at 3am for safari and the hotel organised us a breakfast to take away. Five stars 🤩

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The view from the room was priceless. Sharma and his team went out their way to give us 3 perfect night is Chill Ville. Really recommend the cooking class. 15min drive to Ella centre, that can be arranged by the hotel. Best breakfast we had in whole Sri Lanka. They offer both western and local food. It feels very domestic. They only have 7villas so you get a very peronal approach which is so nice.

The most beautiful place we have stayed so clean and well kept, lovely gardens and the pool was always spotless. The staff were kind and friendly. The food at breakfast and dinner was amazing. Cannot recommend more.

This place was absolutely incredible what a hidden gem! We went as a family two adults and two children age 9 & 10. Wow wow wow! We would go back in a heartbeat! Location is just insane, the manager Sharma and his team were all so friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was the best we have had in any hotels all so fresh and local produce homemade granola, buffalo curd, fresh fruits, eggs. The dinner was incredible too fresh fish but catering for children too. We were sad to leave. Oh and it’s 15 mins from little Adam’s peak.

The most attentive hotel manager, Sharma, I have ever met. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The views are just incredible. All staff friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Asfak for being our favourite tuk tuk driver, he would stop along the way anywhere we wanted and showed us some amazing views. Having seen the sunrise at Little Adam’s Peak, I have now found a better spot. Not crowded and a secret place with better views. To find it you need to stay at Chill Ville and ask Sharma the manager. We explained to him that we wanted to see a bit more of the ‘back roads’, he arranged a tuk tuk there for us and it was just amazing. As far as I know the average tourist doesn’t know about it and it won’t be on ‘things to do in Ella’ and I’d like it to stay that way:) We couldn’t have imagined a better stay at Chill Ville and I will defiantly return here if we ever visit Sri Lanka again.

The view is amazing from the pool! The cost of food and drink was really cheap, and the food was excellent (big portions too). I became slightly obsessed with their devilled cashews... The manager, Sharma was fantastic- couldn't be more helpful and helped arrange transport and tours for us at very good prices. The room was beautiful too.

The location was perfect, out of the busy town in a really relaxed setting yet close enough to get to the town or attractions with ease by tuk tuk. The pool area was amazing and the food was great at both breakfast and for our evening meal. The staff were very helpful and attentive and even organised our onward to travel to the airport when we sadly had to leave for our flight home!

Having said it was very peaceful it did mean that we had to go in tuktuk whenever ewe went out to eat, but they do have lovely restaurant and they have a ready available tuktuk

We were made very welcome by sharmar and his team, they were always very helpful and attentive. My daughter was suffering with bad cough, sharmar plied her with ginger and lemon tea whenever she wanted it to sooth the cough. Sharmar was always happy to help us arrange our daytrips The views and the peacefulness of location were amazing
