The stairs to our rooms were quite steep and quite tiring!

Absolutely amazing and friendly staff, especially the hotel manager Sharma! The location is stunning too and you get some amazing views! Also the food was superb and customised to our vegetarian needs.

With older travelers, be careful : fairly steep and uneven steps to get to the rooms

Very nice rooms. The dining area is superb. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very good breakfast and dinner. Nice small infinity pool. The hotel is about 15 minutes from town.

It is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful views. Amazing staff. The attention to detail was second to none. They have their own tuktuk to take you wherever you want to go. And to top it all the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Everything was phenominal from the charming staff to the extensive breakfast to the charming bungalow rooms. The location and that view blew my mind, if I could have stayed looking at it forever I would have. The manager can help organise any activities you want in the area which is amazing but I reccomend saving a bit of time to just sit and gaze out into the mountains.

My only comment would be that the mattress was hard

Beautiful views, secluded rooms, and exceptional staff. Great breakfast with homemade cakes, jams, breads, and a eggs chef. What more could you ask for so close to Ella! With no A/C the rooms are naturally cool with fans provided. Would highly recommend and love to come back

Cleanliness could have been better and although property is well maintained, they chose to undertake maintenance on our bathroom during our stay resulting in a small leak in the toilet. Maybe just teething as it’s the start of the busy season. Given the good value for money and view we would still consider staying again.

Staff extremely helpful and hospitable. Excellent view. Well sized room with large very comfortable bed. Good value for money. A little out of Ella but this definitely adds to the charm and experience and it easy & quick to get a tuktuk into the town.

My recent stay at Chill Ville, View Point Hotel in Ella, Sri Lanka, was nothing short of extraordinary. Their warm, welcoming demeanor and readiness to go above and beyond truly set this hotel apart, making it stand out even among the numerous luxury hotels I've visited worldwide. The panoramic mountain views from the hotel are simply breathtaking. Waking up to such a majestic sight right from your bed is an experience that words can barely do justice. The rooms, while unassuming in their simplicity, offer everything one needs for a comfortable stay, emphasizing the natural beauty outside. Culinary delights were a daily treat, with breakfasts offering a delightful mix of Western and Sri Lankan options. Dinners were a gastronomic adventure, undoubtedly serving some of the best food I've experienced in Sri Lanka. It's no wonder that this was my second visit to this enchanting country, with places like Chill Ville being a significant reason for my return. In terms of value, it's a resounding 10/10. Although the hotel is slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the town center, this seclusion is one of its best features. Convenient transportation options like taxis or tuk-tuks are readily available and just a quick ride away from the local attractions. Bonus is cheap set price to these locations. In summary, Chill Ville, View Point Hotel is a serene haven, perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat with world-class service and stunning natural beauty. It's a place that not only meets expectations but exceeds them, ensuring that each visit is a memorable one.

Location is a little out of Ella so be prepared to take regular tuk tuks. In saying this the hotel was great in arranging this for us whenever we needed

The view is amazing from the rooms and the restaurant - perfect place to have breakfast in the morning. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay from arranging transport, half day tours, late breakfast etc. Service was the best we experienced in Sri Lanka

The pool was a bit too cold for swimming but everything else was great.

Ella is busy so staying outside the centre was definitely the right decision. The location is great with amazing landscape views. The room was spacious, and the food was very good. Very good value overall.

There was not enough Light at the restaurant in The evening, I could hardly see What was on my plate. And it was too Dark on the path up to my villa, it made me feel unsafe, afraid of falling on the steps and of being attacked.

The view was spectacular. The staff were warm and lovely. The room was neat.

Everything about Chill Ville was fantastic!! We absolutely loved the staying there! The bar and restaurant area overlooking the valley was beautiful and the pool area gorgeous. Breakfast was fantastic, and we had the best roasted cashew nuts and noodles for dinner and just wish we could have stayed longer! Our room was beautiful, very comfortable with a well sized bathroom and tastefully decorated.

Incredible location, great vibes and omg you wake up to the most stunning vista of the mountains rolling out to the sea. Staff are fantastically helpful and a quick tuktuk to Ella which is buzzing with life both in the day and night. The grounds are so beautiful, you’ve got to see it to believe it

Chill vibe, friendly staff. Spacious room, good food and value for money. Sharma organised a half day Tuktuk tour of Ella with Ashfak who drove us to all the main sites, 9 Arch Bridge, Little Adams Peak, Tea Factory and a stop at the station to buy our tickets and then back Chill Ville to chill by the pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The rooms are beautiful, one suggestion would be to have a full length mirror in the living area.

AC in the room wasn’t functional but totally necessary because of the moisture after rainfall
