Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomIt was a little difficult getting an Uber to the property because it was so close to the airport, but we did manage it in the end so no issues!
Really lovely property, much better than we expected. The room was massive and even had a balcony, I had thought the room didn’t have a window so that was a massive bonus! Breakfast was lovely, great fried egg, loads of toast and jam and some fruit. Really lovely host and gave us some advice for our onward travel.

Slovakiathe place was our first stay in sri lanka, and we had really late flight comming there at 4am. they picked us up even though the flight was late they were waiting there all the time. And also the room was very clean and you have late check pout with breakfast so it was perfect choice for the first night. Also we repeated for our last night in sri lanka and the same, very practical and clean and the dfamily is very nice and helpful.

MaldivesWe booked through booking.com and with 3 small kids (age 1-3-5) it didn't allow to take one room, had to book 2rooms- when we arrived at the hotel found that family room was extremely big and was perfect for our family. But since booking was made for two rooms we had to pay for both the rooms though we used only one room.
The rooms were very clean, comfortable and staff were amazing. Owner was so friendly even with the kids - we loved our short stay. A great transit place, just about 15 minutes ride from airport.

They kindly got up and prepared a tasty takeaway breakfast for us as we had an early flight to catch. They also helped to get my belongings back to the UK when I accidently left them behind. They definitely went above and beyond. The room itself had everything we needed for the night too e.g. decent bed, good AC and bathroom.
