Quiet location, air conditioning and very quiet ceiling fans. So I had a good rest. The breakfast was very tasty, there was also fish, when I ate what I had, they gave me more. Friendly nice staff.

    Nothing.

I booked CBS Resort at the last minute because of my tight schedule. I wasn't expecting much, but I was so surprised when I arrived at the property -- the whole area was huge and well-kept, the facilities were above par, and the ambience was serene. In the middle of the property is a man-made bird sanctuary, where thousands of trees were deliberately planted that various species of birds just decided to stay in the area. The sounds of the birds add to the amazing one-with-nature vibe of the place. The room I stayed in was extraordinarily spacious - I had a king size bed, sofa, closet, and larger than usual bathroom. The beddings and the towels were all clean and fresh. It also has an efficient AC, a ceiling fan, and a large TV. Aside from being very clean, the room also has a high ceiling, which reinforces the airy-ness and easy feeling a guest would have in the room. I couldn't ask for more. The best part of CBS Resort is its people. When I told the manager that my only agenda in Udawalawe was the safari but that I was having a problem because I was running out of cash since most establishments in the area don't accept credit cards, he helped arrange a safari tour for me at a discounted price! And when I told him that I only have dollars in cash, he contacted the owner of the resort, who then came to the resort all the way from his home several kilometers away, just so he could change my dollars to rupee at the current rate published on the internet! The next day, the staff prepared my breakfast to-go so I could enjoy it at the safari. The safari jeep I got was quite new and very comfortable. The guide I got was a cousin of the owner of the resort. He was very knowledgeable of the animals and the different areas of the National Park, and had very sharp eyes that he could spot animals from a mile away. Thanks to him, I was able to see a lot of animals up close, especially elephants! Upon returning to CBS Resort, my Sri Lankan lunch was ready.

    didn't have good coffee.

We had a pleasant stay at this resort. Calm environment, real jungle vibes, clean and well maintained rooms with everything we needed. The staff was friendly and polite. The breakfast buffet was rich and had some Sri Lankan dishes, but more western style. We would recommend the place!

One of our friends recommended this place, and as he said, the place was great. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. Friendly staff and delicious food. The room is surrounded by trees and bushes. in the middle of the bush, birds singing all the time, and we even had a peacock fly right over us. We walked up to Udawalawe Dam to watch the sunset, and it was one of the best scenes we experienced in Sri Lanka. We’ll be back for sure.

Suddenly we chose this place, and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was super nice and well maintained. Our room was surrounded by lots of trees, and it felt we were in jungle. If you are a nature lover this would be an ideal stay for you. The staff were very friendly, and service was excellent. The breakfast was also good. The safari ride to Udawalawe national park was by far the best thing about staying here. Elephants, birds, crocodiles and so many other things can be seen in this ride. If we ever come back to Udawalawe we will stay here again.

The sounds of the wild and the beauty of the natural surroundings add to the overall sensory experience. Udawalawa national park safari ride is a must do activity for anyone seeking an adventure of a lifetime. you will have the opportunity to witness majestic elephants and birds in the wilderness. The Room was very spacious, clean, and well maintained. Delicious local cuisine and western style meals available. Staff was very friendly and always available whenever we needed assistance. Surprisingly this stay was the cheapest but a complete hotel experience I had in Sri Lanka.

This location has a wonderful garden, and the staff is excellent - they made us delicious welcome drinks and then served us a great meal. (with an amazing breakfast buffet) We had a long, nice, and friendly chat about local culture. We had a sense of being at home. Absolutely recommended!

The bed was comfortable, and the AC was pleasantly cool. Excellent service, delicious cuisine, and a genuine sense of being in nature. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are spacious, and the nighttime forest noises are an extra treat. We really enjoyed our one-night stay here. The staff was really helpful and friendly, and they set up a fantastic Udawalawa Safari for us, which we really enjoyed during our short trip. Spend at least two days here, if not more, and on a safari, which is something we highly recommend. This is the option for you if you're seeking a genuinely calm and natural area to stay in. This is a spot I recommend. At created bird sanctuary, I would stay once more.

    Zero complaints at all

Because of this amazing setting, we have the impression that we are in the middle of a forest. We can tell that they built this location since it feels like a jungle. It truly is an eco-village. The location was great because it was close to the elephant transit home and off the main road, which made it peaceful from traffic noise. The natural beauty of this place is what I like most about it. I genuinely enjoy that location. The entire area was amazing! The staff was excellent. The facilities were excellent and provided everything required for a one-night layover before a safari the next day. The food was superb. Absolutely no complaints. We would definitely come back to this location! Thank you so much!

    Nothing. All was great.

It was the best decision and an amazing experience to arrive at Created bird sanctuary Udawadale. There, I experienced a remarkable and unforgettably memorable visit. This resort is in a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by greenery. There is a beautiful garden at this location where you may observe birds, squirrels, and numerous types of rare trees. We haven't slept so well since we arrived in Sri Lanka because of how peaceful it is. Everything in the room, including the bathroom, is quite clean and the room is very huge. The staff is extremely nice, kind, caring, and supportive. Leaving this spot made me feel really sad. I sincerely appreciate all of the staff's kindness and hospitality. You won't regret booking this accommodation, you won't regret it!
