I really liked the view. It was actually best accomodation I ever had. You have a great view to the waterfall and over the mountains. The owner are very nice and they helped me to organise tuk tuks and things 🥰 I really enjoyed my time in the mountains there. The place is awesome and peaceful ☺️😍😍😍

Dreamville lives up to its name. A little gem nestled amidst the mountains, it's by far my biggest crush in Sri Lanka. For those familiar with it, this place strongly reminded me of Mundo Nuevo (Minca, Colombia). The attention and care given by Sham, the most amazing breakfasts, the tranquility of the place, residing right in the heart of nature, and the mountain view as soon as you draw the curtains of your bed – everything about it won us over. It's worth mentioning that this little paradise is located a 30-minute tuktuk ride from Ella center. It wasn't a problem for us at all, quite the opposite, but it's important to know in case you're more in a party mood. This place beckons for relaxation, the gentleness of dawn, and the tranquility of dusk. A thousand thanks to Sham and her team for what will remain one of our most beautiful memories.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, extremely helpful service personell that was also preparing great breakfast and dinner :) The host was replying via whatsapp super quick and ensuring we always had a tuktuk driver to get to the location and giving great recommendations for day trips. Be aware the hostel is approx. 20/25 mins from Ella center and the last part of the road is not paved, but a fun adventure :) We felt very welcome! Thank you!

Perfect spot for relaxing! Great view and accommodation! Hosts are really nice and helpful!! Although you are sleeping outside, I wasn’t freezing during night and there were no mosquitos or other bugs!

The water pressure in the shower could be little better. It took a while to wash my hair.

Our stay at Dream Ville was exactly like the name.. a dream. The hostel is beautiful and has a stunning view. We really enjoyed our stay there and would 100% recommend it to our friends. The owner really helped us with everything and especially with the transport to Elle and to Mirissa. Because it is more or less 30 minutes from Elle and the road is quite bad, it can get pretty hard finding a tuktuk to take you there. She contacted us before we arrived so she could send us a tuktuk to pick us up. The drive is pretty adventurous but I really enjoyed it. The hostel owner asked us to share her number, so guests could contact her more easily +94 (77) 791 8001 All in all we loved it there and stayed 4 nights to rest a little. It was the perfect place for that. If you like to be more busy and see a lot of things in Elle, maybe that’s not the perfect place for you.

I love the vibe of the hostel. A nice place to chill, the owner is really kind as well. She does everything and helped me plan stuff. If you're looking for a break from traveling this is the perfect place to be. Nice to work as well but bad signal in the evening.

Nothing but what's good to know is that the last 500 meters to Dreamville are very difficult to do by bike unless you have an adventurous spirit or are an experienced driver. You can also ask Sham to sent a Tuktuk driver which will cost you 2500 SLR from Ella center to Dreamville.

The people create a warm community where you will want to keep on extending your stay. The view is breathtaking and it's a peaceful place half an hour drive from center Ella. For fun evenings there is even a karaoke machine and a fireplace for cozy evenings and a small pool. Even the toilet has a breathtaking view!

The place is located a 30 minute drive out of town. But the drive itself is really cool and otherwise you won’t have those views. Also, it would be even better if there would be some hostel activities arranged.

This place is amazing! It looks like an Hawaiian paradise with the best views of Ella! The host makes sure that everything is well arranged. She makes breakfast and diner for everybody if you want, arranged Tuktuk’s and busses at every time of the day and makes sure that you have a great time.

It is worth noting that Dream Ville is around 30 minutes from the centre of Ella by tuk tuk - which costs around 1500 rupees. I didn't find this at all an issue, and meant I could explore more of the local area, which was such an authentic experience.

Having just left Sri Lanka after nearly a month, I can confidently say that this was by far my favourite stay. I normally don't go for hostels with so few reviews, but the ones I read were so overwhelmingly positive, I couldn't help but give it a go... The hostel is so aptly named - when I arrived, it felt like I was dreaming. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming and the hostel owners are two of the loveliest people I have ever met. At every opportunity, it felt like things got better and better - the gorgeous food, beautiful views (from bed!) at sunrise and a stunning hike to a waterfall straight from the hostel. There is even a little plunge pool to cool down in the hot weather. I recommended this hostel to many people throughout the rest of my trip in Sri Lanka, and every single one thanked me for helping them find Dream Ville...just book - you won't regret it! They gave us the best advice for places to visit as well as transport options to go around Ella. The homemade food was absolutely incredible! The most delicious Sri Lankan food I have ever had! The hostel is located in the middle of nature and outside of Ella (30 minutes by tuktuk). But this was not a problem for us, because we enjoyed the tranquility of this area.

We were just amazed by the view from the hostel. The dorms are semi-outdoors, but we felt completely safe and also the temperatures at night were pleasant. Sham and her husband put so much effort into this place. There are so many chill out places on the property with incredible views that you almost don‘t want to leave this place. The hostel also offers delicious breakfast and dinner.

It takes 20 minutes to get to from Ella City, but it's so worth it.

Most incredible place ever. Especially for nature lovers seeking an off the beaten track experience. The passion, attention to detail and effort put in here is inspiring. Sham and Nishan are great owners, they organize transport, cook great food and go the extra mile with a smile! Sham kept helping me with the rest of my trip even after I left Dream Ville. The view is the best I've seen, waking up to critters all around, you will fall in love with Dream Ville. It's the one place in Ella I would gladly return to!
