So close to the national park, which made spending the day there really easy. Everyone who works there is so lovely and the pool area is the perfect spot to cool down, read a book and drink a cocktail! You feel as though you are truly in the middle of the jungle, and listening to the birds and watching the animals is perfect.

This place is in the middle of nowhere, which is a rarity in Sri Lanka and so good to relax and unwind. The hotel is peaceful and the facilities are amazing. The room had a comfy bed, balcony and room service. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive to guests needs and requests. Be mindful to take everything you need for your stay as there are no stores around to purchase things. The pool was amazing, food delicious and surroundings peaceful.

We had a family room which was on top so we had a beautiful view and also the room was quite big. It had windows to every site. Very friendly people and a nice and clean pool. Also for us it was quite nice that they didn’t tried to sell a safari but when we asked for one they have been very friendly and arranged one very spontaneous.

Beautiful place, the reception were so helpful. We arrived in the evening and they arranged a safari tour for us the next morning. We also got an upgrade to a bigger room which was beautiful. Really a relaxing place. The waiter at the restaurant was also very accommodating to us. We only had one night but could have easily stayed for more. Big recommend.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place. The service is really friendly and helpful, the food is delicious. They organized a safari for us. When there are more people in the center, they organize a delicious buffet for meals. We were with a baby and took wild suite (cabana)- from the terrace we saw a peacock that just came close to the fence.

Our stay at Ela Camp Udawalawe was simply perfect. Upon arrival, we received a room upgrade on the house. Our room was beautiful, spacious, with AC and warm water. The staff was extremely kind, attentive and helpful. We also had a very nice breakfast and dinner there. I cannot recommend Ela Camp more, if we ever come back, we will stay only there.

The room was clean and very comfortable and the food was fantastic as we were lucky to be there at a special evening buffet where the chef showcased Sri Lankan vegetables. It was a very special experience. The manager helped us arrange a safari and a taxi for our onward travels. And overall the best thing about the hotel were the absolutely wonderful staff team. They were extremely attentive, kind and friendly and just the loveliest people and that included everyone from reception to kitchen, cleaning and service team. Thank you so much for making our stay so special.

We spent two nights in the chalet - and that made our Udawalawe trip just perfect. The place has everything you need and offers some relaxing time and good food as well as a decent pool before and after the exciting elephant encounters. The interior design is very appealing. And: try a cocktail – the service crew will do everything to surprise you with something special!

The personnel is really nice and helpful, and the kitchen was very good. The kids loved the pool. We recommend to book the family room on the top floor. The kitchen grows partially its own vegetables in the garden. Well hidden and surrounded by lush jungle, as it should be.

We stayed one night and enjoyed a warm welcome and a very comfortable and enjoyable time. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we wanted to arrange transport, leave our bags after checking out and they also offered to do a very late breakfast on our return from an early safari. The hotel is situated perfectly for safari and the elephant transit home. It’s very quiet and peaceful, there is even a big lizard that lives under the pool! We didn’t actually use the pool but it looked nice. The rooms were comfortable. We experienced a power cut overnight but this wasn’t the hotel’s fault. All in all great value for money.
