Ranjini and Sena are a very kind and caring couple and made me feel instantly at home after two long days of travelling. Ranjini is an amazing cook and prepared amazing breakfasts and dinner for me and the other guest. They are very well informed and are happy to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants and other practical matters in the area. The house and room are located on a hillside with plenty of green, a beautiful view over Kandy and sufficient shade to provide some cooling on the hotter days. This place exceeded my expectations and made me feel very welcome in Sri Lanka. Great value for money

This place is offered by very kind educated retired couple who really care about the details. The rooms and bathroom are clean and shiny, which is not common in Sri Lanka’s homestays. The villa has a nice view and very quiet position. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay longer than one night. The breakfast is exceptional Thank you very much 🙏

We as a family of 2 adults and 2 small kids stayed at Evergreen homestay. It is a cozy homestay nestled between nature. The hosts were really welcoming and very friendly. They opened their doors for us to make our stay comfortable and our kids also felt very much at ease! They arranged a very friendly tuktuk ride who took us to all the sightseeing places in Kandy. He spoke English very well which made it very easy to get around. The son in law of the host himself drove us to Nuwara Eliya with nice sightseeing stops along the way! We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend to everyone who would like a personal homely touch to their stay!

I had a great time at Evergreen! The room was very clean and cozy. Most of the time I had to work, so they provided me an extra table that I could be on my laptop and enjoy the great view at the same time. Every wish was fulfilled and I regularly received delicious tea, of course at no extra cost. The hosts are just great and interesting personalities! They speak very good English and I enjoyed our conversations. I highly recommend the breakfast! I could always choose what I wanted to eat and even my favorite fruits were provided. The portion is fantastic, it was usually enough for me until dinner. 10/10!

Every single thing, the place, the hosts, the food. Everything was just top notch. If you are someone who like staying far away from the noise of the city and want to spend time with local people then this is the place for you. I talked for hours with Mr and Mrs. Sena, listening to stories of time spent in Sri Lanka. The location was so good. You can see the complete the city from there. Rooms were quite good. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The location is quite far from the city centre Kandy lake for those who wants to be in the city centre . So every time you need to go for site seeing around you need to get a scooter or book pick me . Also the bathroom is pretty small congested. Otherwise the family house stay and people are amazing .

Evergreen is a homestay hosted by a very nice couple. It's a beautiful family house at lush green location in Kandy . The surroundings is just amazing. Our host Rajini ji served us a really delicious breakfast . A very peaceful house and stay .

I came back to this place because everything is so nice here at the Evergreen Homestay. The place is clean and there is a great view to the city and into the trees. The bed was very good, the shower has hot water. The breakfast was excellent. But most than all : The owners are so nice and caring people. I felt like at home and can just recomand this place.

Breakfast was delicious, location close enough to Kandy Central but removed enough to enjoy the beautiful suburban surroundings and the peace and quiet. I really enjoyed my conversations with the hosts, and they shared a list of all the best things to do in Kandy with me

Everything was great

The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable, and helped me organize my 3 days around Kandy. They can give you info on sri lankan history and best activities, which sights to see, hired drivers, etc. Plus the fantastic local style breakfast and dinner on demand! (extra fee but well worth it) Cozy and clean room separate from the house means you're independent if you wish. You can trust them with your stay!

Amazing view, amazing garden. All was clean and private. The hosts went above and beyond to makey stay in Kandy am unforgettable experience. The breakfast was amazing and very diverse. I had to leave early in the morning and the host packed me a breakfast that I had for the whole day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). I absolutely recommend staying at Evergreen. It's pure bliss.

I made the best choice with Evergreen and I am very grateful to meet such a great and educated people. Dr. Sena and his wife Mrs. Ranjini are the most hospitable people I met in Sri Lanka. Inspiring long talks with great tips for trips, perfect breakfast and dinner, quiet room with stunning view… I found here everything I needed (and even more). I can only say that the bar was set very high at the beginning of my travels… I will never forget the best omelette from Mrs. Ranjini, if you like spicy food, it is a must.

I had a wonderful stay at Evergreen. It’s on a village on the outskirt of Kandy and from the moment I stepped out of the Tuk Tuk, I was greeted very warmly by my hosts and felt very welcome. They very kindly offered me some Tea and cakes which was a very nice touch and I really appreciated it after a long travel from Ella. I had dinner there as well and had some fantastic food prepared by Ranjini. I have really enjoyed how attentive Ranjini and her husband were to make my (short) stay in Kandy worthwhile. They helped arranging a tuk tuk and an itinerary to see the main sights of Kandy in a record timing. I also really enjoyed the great discussions with my hosts (Ps : I made it to the top of Lion’s rock :)) I’d really recommend for anyone looking for a home stay, fantastic experience. Many thanks for my stay with you!

WIFI is not ideal, was breaking all the time, and loosing signal.

the owners are adult couple of very intelligent people, who were speak fluently English who you can discuss various things with and they werevery kind to me. they own gorgeous garden with big trees, that is why the place called Evergreen. it was really a pleasure to stay there and the only sad is cause i didn't have more time to stay there and that i had to work the only day i had in Kandy. i definitely recommend this place for those who want to stay in a quite comfortable house. owner is a friend of the closely located restaurant where you can have nice dinner by very affordable price.

nothing, I wish I could have stayed longer!

This has been my favourite accommodation so far in Sri Lanka. The owners are the nicest people, so friendly and helpful and really made my time in Kandy. They made me feel like I was part of the family and welcomed me into their home, I ended up extending my stay because I loved it so much. The breakfast was delicious everyday and I was lucky enough to have a vegetarian feast cooked for me which was amazing! Highly recommend staying here!

I should have stayed longer !

It's been a real treat. I made a reservation at the last minute and they opened their door with an open heart and a big smile. Incredible welcoming and plenty of good recommandation whatever you want to do in Kandy. They spoiled me with tea, biscuits and ice cream on arrival. I had also great talks with the couple. Moreover, fantastic value for money. The omelette in the morning is the best I had in Sri Lanka. So, if you want to stay in Kandy, go and stay with this family. They are just wonderful.
