The Host was the nicest Guy i have met in Sri Lanka so far. He will arrange very good transportations for a good price. He wants to make your visit the best you ever had. You don't have the Feeling to get scammed at all. He won't do anything for Money. As i said, He does it to make you feel comfy. Feel Home is located perfectly. It is located on a Hill so you have a nice View and you have a quite area. At the Same time you can get to the Lake or the botanical Garden in the Same time, cause it is located in the middle of it. For that Money, it was the best Location i have been so far.

The property is not on easy walking distance from the city center as it’s located higher on the hill(hence the nice view), and so we used a (very affordable) tuktuk to get around.

Fantastic hosts that organised a really nice day plus everything we needed. He really looked after us. Rooms are nice, with an amazing view. It was great we got offered the option of a great Sri Lankan breakfast.

Everything was top level

The view was great! There always was good strong hot water. There is very good breakfast (you can choose European or Sri Lankan traditional. I had European breakfast and it was really good). The owner also helped to organise transport for reasonable price and gave some valuable advice on the places to visit including one not touristic old temple which was very exciting to see). It is better than in the city centre, more peaceful place. You need tuk tuk to go to centre, but price is not expensive, no problem. I can definitely recommend this place. I also recommended this place to new friends who i met during my travels. They stayed in the place after me and texted me later that they really enjoyed this place too.

The bed- and bathroom is really clean. You can use the kitchen and there is a big living area and terrace. He has great reccomendations to do in Kandy and on your way to nuwara eliya. He provides really good breakfast and dinner at the homestay. It was a lovely stay.

No complaints at all.

From the pick up from the train station until our check out two days later everything was amazing! The place is spotless and spacious, the view is amazing, the breakfast is delicious and Fazly is very welcoming and a great facilitator/organiser for your trip without any pressure to book things with him, he just provides options and then completely leaves it up to you to decide. In general communication was excellent and it felt like he was stand by 24/7. We had a lovely stay and very much hope to come back at some point.

I have spent 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, all places in a similar price range. I booked Feel Home based on the excellent reviews here and thanks God I did, it was by far the best experience I had in Sri Lanka! The place is a short tuk-tuk ride away from Kandy's city center, just far enough from the smog and the hustle. The view from the terrace is amazing for both morning yoga and a cold beer in the evening ;) The rooms are larger than you need them to be, bathroom is nice and modern, everything is working and everything is super clean (not a given in other places!). The air conditioning is working well and is not hitting you directly while you're in bed. There also is a fully equipped kitchen and a fridge that you can use, super convenient! However, it is Fazly's attention to the details and to the guest themselves that is the cherry on the cake here! Home cooked meals, organized transportation, money exchange, sightseeing & jewelry shopping recommendation - you name it, Fazly will make it happen! Plus he is just a really nice guy with a lot of life experience and good English so you can have a great conversation if you'd like to :) if not he makes sure not bother and shows up when you text him! So 10/10 for this place and I really hope to be back one day :)

The property with its terrace is stunning! You have an amazing view over Kandy. The rooms are spacious, there is a kitchen and a living room area so even in case of rain there is plenty of space if you’re staying at the property. I used the terrace for my morning yoga session and even mats are provided. Also, Fazly has filtered water and the hot water is generated through solar panels. Fazly itself is unique. He organised a driver for me to take me North of Kandy and also down to Nuwara Eliya. He is the best person I’ve met on this trip and I cannot recommend his place more. Thanks Fazly!

Nothing was missing. There were a lot of stairs so be aware of that.

Fazly is the most particular host. He pays attention to every detail to make your stay happy and comfortable. Our pick up from Kandy station was free which was excellent. Great communication before and during the trip. He arranged everything for us to make sure we saw a lot in a short time. To go from the dance show to the temple for example. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom and a balcony with a stunning view. Breakfast was served outside. We had a western breakfast with eggs, granary toast, jam, avocado dip, mango and watermelon. Fresh juice, tea and coffee. Absolutely delicious Fazly arranged all our tuk tuks and the transfer to an early morning train when we left. A small packed breakfast to eat on the journey. Nothing was too much trouble and he speaks English very well. Fazly recommended several restaurants to us and we chose Balaji Dosai the vegetarian cafe. Food was delicious, healthy and cheap. All in all a great stay.

The bed was a little firm (but understand that’s personal preference).

Fazly was a fantastic host, and helped me to plan my short stay to ensure I could see as much as possible. The room was big, well-finished and very clean, as were the common lounge and kitchen area. I felt very safe here, and also loved that there was a number of small things that supported being environmentally friendly i.e. filtered drinking water tap.

Everything was very very nice.

The guest house is clean clean clean. An amazing sun set from the balcony. The location is not in the city center but in such a relaxed and lovely neighbourhood. The host Fazly is very kind, thoughtfull and helps with everything. He messaged me before my arrival and said that his driver will pick me up. I felt so relaxed and safe. I cant thank him enough for the pleasant stay he provided.

We stayed at Fazlys place for 2 nights and it was lovely! The room was spacious and very clean equiped with AC and a fan. The bathroom very clean and had hot water 24h. The small balcony led to the very big terrace in front with one of the most spectacular views on this trip. The kitchen was big and equipped with everything one might need even for a longer stay, also the only place we had filtered water which we appreciated very much. Fazly was a lovely host: very friendly, spoke good english and offered a lot of support and recommendations to get around Kandy. He offered a lovely local breakfast cooked by his wife which we enjoyed on the terrace with a wonderful view. We enjoyed our stay very very much and would gladly stay there again.

We really felt at home! The host is super helpful, friendly and cares so much about the guests. We really enjoyed the view, the cleanliness and the vibe of the place. There is a kitchen that you can use as well, but don’t miss out on the breakfast or a home-cooked dinner on the terrace. We can highly recommend this place!

Fazly puts his whole heart into this guesthouse. a great guy to chat to with perfect English. you can tel he truly listens to all guest feedback. small touches I loved - purified water to fill our reusable bottles, REAL French press coffee, yoga mats. the rooms are huge, clean, full of plants and the terrace is the show stopper. he even organized a free tuktuk to the place which was so kind. must stay!
