The only thing was that the flush on my toilet was a little tricky to use. I had to flush quite a few times but a very minor thing.

The room was stylish, new, comfortable, cool (with A/C) and well located for a tranquil and relaxing stay. This was a very welcome for me after a lot of hostel stays. The staff are all really friendly and the owner helped organise dinner, breakfast, a TukTuk around the Ancient City (considering my budget) including a drop off to the bus station for my trip to Negombo. We also had really interesting conversations in the morning. Thanks so much for a really great stay!

The distance between the main area of the town is a bit far from this place. But the owner always prepared to give transport if you do not have a car in the premises!

The owner is a very experienced Chef and a traveller. He has travelled and worked in many countries and knows the needs of the clients. When we arrived in extremely hot and warm weather he gave us a welcome drink and it was so refreshing! The following morning served with an excellent breakfast which we requested!

Hardly anything that we didn't like. However, wifi facilities and credit/debit card payment facilities would have enhanced the quality of the service.

The breakfast was superb and was well presented. The quality of the food was excellent. The service superior to most other places. What we liked was the personalised service that was offered. The host was extremely friendly and helped meet all our requirements. Hoping to come back for a longer stay.

Location is calm and nice, no noises. We booked only the room and it was same as the pictures. Room was super clean and beddings, towels etc were smelled fresh and clean. I would book this in our next trip as well

The host was very kind, friendly and helpful. He organized a Safari day to the Wilpattu National Park and he went above and beyond by getting up at five AM to bring us to the Wilpattu entrance by car. He cooked as a very delicious, homemade dinner. The room was very nice, the bed was comfy. We would definitely stay again in this accommodation.

You'd have to go a long way to find a more hospitable, helpful and engaging host than Don. In fact it would not be possible. He used his own car to take us into town free of charge, provided supper on sight to save us having to go out after a long day, arranged transport, etc. Forest Edge is exceptional value for money. Highly recommended.
