Nothing coming to my mind

What a little paradise! The lovely host created a beautiful place to relax and feel at home. Spacious, clean and very well equipped rooms, especially considering the low prices. Also the garden is beautiful and very well taken care of. We stayed there for a week, reading at the pool and enjoying the beach, which is a 1 min walk away. Great breakfast and the restaurant offering italian dishes was a welcome change to all the rice and curry.

Worth noting that AC is extra at this accommodation but that being said there was a ceiling fan and also a wall mounted fan so we didn't need it anyway.

Great accommodation - exactly as per photos. The room was very large with a big private balcony. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water. The pool was wonderful and very clean. Comfortable sun loungers with good quality parasols in a pretty, well kept garden. Plenty of monkeys to entertain you. The breakfast was good with great Italian coffee. Melinda the Manager was really friendly, engaging & had a good sense of humour. Nice, quiet location and only a very short walk to the beach and a few restaurants.

The location was a little disappointing not many good restaurants around (but a really nice one just a few steps from the property called Fire Fly). The waves were very big at the time we visited so we couldn’t enjoy swimming in the sea.

The manager, Milinda, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was large and clean, we could play inside with our child. The pool was very clean and we enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was great too!

Gabi, the owner, is very kind and welcoming - always ready to help you! The rooms are spotless, well equipped and they are well isolated so the room keeps a good temperature even without using the AC. The basic breakfast provides fresh products and a good presentation. Finally the location is 2-3 minutes walking distance to the beach - on top of that you can also use the swimming pool.

Nothing to describe

A beautiful villa in a pretty quiet village surrounded by tropical green and monkeys. The rooms are big, clean and well decorated and we liked the balcony. At the end, the owner as well as the staff make you feel comfortable and breakfast is super!

We had a wonderful stay at the Garden Villa and can totally recommend this place. Most likely the best place to stay when visiting Talalla. The hotel staff is super friendly, the breakfast is delicious and the pool within the super green garden is really nice. Rooms are well equipped, clean and come with mosquito nets. The beautiful beach and good restaurants are only a 2 minute walk away.

Wish we could have stayed for longer

Beautiful pool and gardens. Very short walk to the beach. Immaculately clean, large comfortable room with balcony. Thoughtful touches in the room like tea, filtered water, torch, toiletries and plug in mosquito repellent. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Friendly, helpful host (Gabi). The proper coffee machine. Good breakfast. Lovely and quiet, but a couple of eating options very nearby.

This small and very private seeming hotel is a tranquil oasis built and run to an exquisite standard by the owner (Gabi, the charming German owner is clearly an accepted and much respected member of this small community - far from being an expat). All of Gabi's support staff operate to a quiet level of excellence that is so appealing it makes on wish one could linger here for months, not mere days. Garden Villa is situated on a quiet country lane no more than four minutes stroll to the tranquility and outstanding beauty of Talalla Beach. This is in every way a haven (unless of course you prefer the scruffy crush and higher charges of Mirissa).

Gabbi and Chanuka were the most wonderful hosts, a real home from home. The property, pool and garden is beautiful. We booked the triple room, which was huge and had a great size balcony too. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach which is one the most peaceful we have seen on our trip. Proper coffee was such a treat and the breakfast was delicious. We can’t wait to try and make our own Sri Lankan omelettes at home! Highly recommend and thank you for making it such a special experience

It was like a little paradise with a powerful story of the owner & founder Gabby. I feel grateful I could have stayed there and meet Gabby & Chanaka. My room was very very clean, which is something you truly appreciate while in Asia and my bed was huge and always decorated so nicely! Gabby prepares the most delicious spaghetti bolognese! But what makes this place a real gem is her story - it's part of the genius loci! Danke schoen, Gabby!

We spent 4 nights at Garden Villa and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend the place! It's a nice and relaxing small B&B hotel. We booked the room at the ground floor with garden view - the room was spacious, very clean, with super comfortbale bed, and reasonbley priced mini bar fridge. Very good location: 2 minutes walk to Talalla Beach, and there are few nice restuarants nearby. Tasty breakfest including fresh fruits, eggs, toasts, and great Italian coffee was included in our rate. There is an option to request Sir Lankan breakfest which was superb too. Gaby, the host, (and two wonderful dogs) are always there to help and to make sure the stay is perfect. Amazing quality and great value for money.

Lovely, comfortable place for relaxing near the beach. Super comfy bed, great shower, bright room with nice balcony for watching the birds and also the monkeys running past! The breakfast was phenomenal and generous - try the Sri Lankan one.
