The staff is so warm and welcoming. And the owner will make you feel very special. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The shower is outside and that's quite an experience, we just loved it. The food they prepare for you is excellent. We will definitely book again.

The OASIS in the middle of a city From the moment we entered the driveway into Ginganga Lodge you could feel that this place oozed tranquility The owner Indika and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful the whole time The grounds on an old rubber plantation feels like you are in the jungle and backs onto a river and has an abundance of bird and other wildlife The pool area and restaurant was so peaceful and beautifully decorated in an eclectic style. Our room Heliconia was accessed by a wooden path and had a lovely verandah and outdoor bathroom where little birds and once monkeys watched from above A gorgeous super king 4 poster bed with netting, fan and air conditioning and more lovely furniture completed the room Tasty food, lovely cocktails and cold beer The added bonus of the lodge having its own tuk tuk and was available to take you anywhere for a small fee It was wonderful to be only 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the fort and then be able to return to the calmness of this resort We wished we could have spent more time here relaxing and enjoying the peace 6 star genuine hospitality and attention to detail Rooms were attended to each day and even a 2nd time in the evening and so discreetly This is the most perfect place to spend your last few days in Sri Lanka before heading to the airport before a late evening flight 100% recommend to stay here if you are in Galle or better still make this a destination to go, I’m missing it soo much

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Everything about our four nights at Ginganga Lodge was exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The setting is beautiful and the attention to detail impressive. The staff are attentive without being in any way intrusive and the food, and the cocktails, were all delicious. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite which was just amazing. We took advantage of the tuktuk service into Galle and were always picked up promptly when we requested a return. We stayed in some superb places on our three week trip but this was the best.

It was all excellent.

A lovely place to stay. Calm and relaxing. The staff were friendly, attentive and considerate. The food was excellent. Our room was beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean as was the amazing outside bathroom. It was great to hear the wildlife that was all around us whilst taking a shower. Monkeys, birds and resident Monitor Lizards. We stayed at the end of our travels and it was perfect.

An exceptional establishment, an oasis in the hot climate. Very green and lush garden. Spacious room with thoughtful cultural decoration. Staff are very attentive. Service is focused on details. Much better than 5 star hotel.

This was my second visit and it was even better than last year. Ginganga Lodge is quite exceptional with 6 beautifully designed suites in the midst of idyllic tropical gardens and surrounded by nature. It is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Galle city yet it is just a short tuk tuk ride away. The restaurant offers well presented delicious meals and the staff are always friendly and attentive. A thoroughly enjoyable finale to our visit to Sri Lanka

Can’t praise this place enough. The owner, manager and staff were so kind and helpful. Aside from being excellent at their jobs, they’re just very good people. We had monkeys who caused a slight rain leak from the ceiling and they moved us to another amazing room and fixed that roof asap. So we were lucky enough to see two of their beautiful rooms! The hotel was stunning, i could live in the outdoor shower room we had. The decor, the space, the plush pillows and huge beds, it was just dreamy. Even better than in the pictures! We also had a massage there which was amazing. And the food was delicious. Thank you again to everyone there.

Room was excellent. The pool was beautifully maintained and crystal clear. The hotel can organise a river tour to see the wildlife leaving from the hotels own dock in the hotel garden. Meals were also very good with a choice of local or Western food. Breakfast was very civilised and beautifully served. The staff achieved just the right balance being attentive but not overbearing. Overall very good value for money

Indica, your host is generous, knowledgable (knows everybody and everything you need to know about Galle), friendly and a polished professional. He loaned me cash and drove me around when my credit card got gobbled by an ATM. The laid back place feels like Bali/ Ibiza, full of SL artefacts and tasteful touches. Great pool and breakfast. The happy team here are exemplary. All in all a cool hideaway. Bring moz repellent if they tend to find you.

What an incredible, luxurious, boutique hotel. The design is beautiful and very thoughtful and you feel like you’re in your own slice of peaceful paradise in the jungle. The owner and staff were so helpful, friendly, accomodating and attentive. The breakfast and dinner were so delicious and high quality. If you would like to visit Galle Fort or the beaches they arrange a private tuk tuk for you for a good price there and back. Would definitely reccomend!

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country – the landscape and wildlife, the food and its people. All of this can be experienced much better at Ginganga Lodge – an exceptionally magnificent place to relax and visit Galle or just enjoy Sri Lanka. Great interior design! We loved the pool, the local dishes and the smell of cinnamon!!! The hotel is managed with the utmost care and guests are treated with the utmost respect and hospitality. Even the WiFi works, although you feel like you're living in the middle of the jungle. Highly recommended!

The Lodge is situated away from the noise of Galle down little winding lanes and next to the river. Our room (half of a bungalow) was comfortable and attractively furnished and very quiet. We loved watching the shy, purple faced langurs in the tree from the open bathroom. Staff were kind and helpful and catered for my dietary needs. The pool was lovely and the food good. The owner took us into town and collected us whenever we wanted, by tuk tuk, which took about 15 mins.

It is so peaceful and a real magical place! The interior, decorations and rooms are beautiful with many details. The owners Indika and Dineshi as well as the whole team is very attentive. Breakfast (Sri Lankan and western options) and dinner is very delicious. It is perfectly located to do a day trip to Galle (15min) or Unawatuna or Turtle Beach (20min). We can recommend to stay a few days here to relax!
