The hot water wasn't hot around 2pm on two different occasions. The room may come with a tub, but the water needs to be hot too. A number of issues with the TV. I arrived in my room but no towels had been left. Had to ring room service. The room service food wasn't great - I ordered a margherita pizza but it was very cheaply made. I decided to eat across the road at the Sheraton, including for breakfast, for the rest of the time. I think starting breakfast at 7am is a little late. I arrived at past midnight having travelled for 16 hours. I was tired but the check-in process was slow. So much paper shuffling, stapling and looking for things. It took half an hour before I was in my room. Staff should serve one person at a time from start to finish and the process streamlined. Really not good enough. Where was a free map of the city on check-in? This is really basic practice in any hotel claiming to be 4 Star or above. The hotel shouldn't quote prices in US dollars - I'm not from the US so this is meaningless. Use the local currency please. Check that you pay in the local currency on your credit card - I specifically requested this and I suspect if I hadn't it would have been put through in US dollars at a preferential rate to the hotel. No ability to add room service food or other purchases to a tab, had to 'pay as you go' which was frustrating.

The location opposite the railway station was easy to communicate with drivers. Nearby supermarket down 19th Lane. Quiet and clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The infinity pool was cool.

Room service food was not good. Order a sandwich and the bread was stale and the fries were rock hard. There wasn’t a lot of space to hang your clothes.

The location is faced right at the ocean and you can see the trains passing by. The staff were absolutely lovely and the interior of the hotel and the room were stunning.

The neighborhood is mainly comprised of the same kind of hotel or official/governmental places, and doesn't have much appeal

High class hotel by the sea front, with a spa, multiple restaurants and a really nice rooftop with swimming pool and bar. Ideal to spend 1 or 2 days to relax in Colombo before venturing further into Sri Lanka or taking a flight back at the Negombo airport.

Everything was great

Great location , directly in front of the ocean. Also has view of the train tracks. Great hotel staff and great food and drinks at the bar. Highly recommend to order food through the bar.

I ordered food to my room which was very expensive, and the pizza was a frozen pizza so I wouldn’t recommend that.

The room was nice and clean, and the view was exceptional from our balcony. It was a nice and calm the place. The pool was good, and view was amazing. The roof top bar also is a chill place to watch the sunset. overall, a beautiful time.

Would be good to have more sunbeds around the rooftop pool and maybe add a couple more items to the lounge bar food menu.

Loved the rooftop infinity pool and lounge bar overlooking the city. There was a great little gym, with a room each for weights and cardio. The decor and interiors were tastefully done and it was nice to people-watch the commuters on the train stop outside the front. Would also recommend the couples massage in the spa - very good value for money. We have recommend to friends to stay here on their upcoming colombo trip.

Excellent location, great sea and city views, nice decoration, very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a Japanese vibe. Rooftop bar offers amazing cocktails and food, try the pool. Highly recommended!

Wow what a dream hotel. The infinity pool is incredible, beds and bathroom such an experience and the Japanese restaurant was a 10/10. So so worth the money!

Sadly, when arriving our room was not ready, they asked us to wait half an hour for it to be cleaned. However it took an hour and a half in the end as they gave our room away to someone else. Not a great start to the trip. Be mindful that the room has terrible lighting, there wasn't a 'main' light in the room or bathroom so it made getting ready e.g. Make up and skin care, very difficult in the evening. As mentioned before, this is a really busy hotel and large. You are often waiting a long time for the lift and the rooftop pool has VERY limited seating so isn't much space to relax.

The hotel has a good location, lovely decor and accomodating staff. It is very easy to get around, the rooftop infinity pool has an incredible view of the ocean and there are 3 main food and drink areas. The Japanese restaurant had a great atmosphere and fantastic food options but is very overpriced. The room is comfortable, clean and provides a great city view (if you get a top floor). It is a very popular hotel and lots of westerners/tourists stay here.

The only thing was that the pool area on the top level didn’t have many beds and was quite a small long narrow area but the bar area was large and there were some lounging sofas there. The views were excellent but not a lot of shade and it was very hot on the tiled floor. Pool was nice though.

The staff were really lovely and helpful at all times and helped me organise a small taxi tour. The bathrooms were very nice and “Japanese” standard. The twin room was comfortable and the beds wide. We didn’t have breakfast but there is also a small coffee shop on the reception level. The location is excellent with beautiful views over the sea from the top level

The reception first gave us the half city view and sea view though we booked for full sea view and rejected to change for us. Then we explained to another reception guy， he changed for us.
