The only thing we could mention is the slow Wifi but it was not important for us.

Very friendly and warm owners. The booking was made incl. lunch. We took a Sri Lankian curry and they made it fresh only for us. My daughter is vegan and it was not a problem. The next morning we were on safari with the driver of the resort. We have seen many animals and he took care on the elephants, stopped if they were crossing and did not drive to near to them to disturb. We had a nice breakfast in the National park. We had a late check out and could take a shower before leaving. The rooms were simple but with all we needed.

Nothing worth writing about!

We had a great time here. The room was comfortable and the food was great! We enjoyed the authentic Sri Lankan home cooking. It's a short drive from Udawalawe and they organised us a day's safari which was one of the highlights of our three week trip. The host was very friendly and took good care of us. We'd recommend!

Very warm welcome and lovely accomodation. Very helpful in arranging our safari and transfers. Walking distance to the Baby elephant sanctuary . They cooked us dinner both nights which was delicious and excellent value for money . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Comfortable clean rooms. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It was our anniversary whilst we were there and they made us a cake which was very sweet. We booked a safari through the resort which was excellent and guide very knowledgeable. The kitchen was closed as its needed repairing but they took us in a tuktuk to their sister resort for dinner, so was no issue. Lots of attention to detail in the room.

Green View Safari Resort was just a fantastic place for us to stay. The host are unbelievably friendly and helped us with everything - one evening they made a Sri Lankan Dinner Buffet just for us which was delicious and not expensive at all. Breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka yet. I highly recommend to book a safari with them, the driver speaks very good English and knows the park and the animals so well. Just a great experience.

Great stay! We really enjoyed being here. The host was so friendly and very welcoming. We arrived quite late but they still made some delicious dinner for us. They also organized us a Safari tour, which was phenomenal and we can highly recommend it. The rooms were clean and we had hot water and a good AC. Yummy traditional breakfast after the safari tour was served.

Was not near any town with shops or restaurants so you were limited to what you could do on an evening other than stay in your room but this did suit us as we were only staying overnight for the safari

Lovely guesthouse and room. Location is great and close to the safari park. We did the half day safari organised through them and had a great experience and were happy with the guide, also it was just us. Would recommend and stay again. Food was good but buffet ran quite low the evening we were there.

Lovely place to stay in Udawalawe, very nice spacious room with a/c, tasty dinner and the breakfast was good but not a lot comparing to other places.. very friendly staff and good location.. 15min away from the park entrance.

Nothing, everything was super great

It had everything! The staff was incredibly nice and just awesome. This was the prettiest and nicest accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. We were really hungry and she gave us a little snack before dinner. I totally recommend it to everyone! I also recommend the safari they arranging, it was really great!

We went on the 6 hour safari tour of Udawalawe National Park which was excellent. The driver was fantastic and very knowledgeable and catered for our particular interest in bird watching.

We loved staying here - a highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. The hosts are wonderfully kind and organised our transfers and safari as well as providing delicious meals. The small resort has a personal feel and great value. The 7 hr morning safari was fantastic. Our entertaining guide Amila made sure we saw everything in a natural way, sitting quietly at beautiful spots away from other jeeps rather than chasing madly around. Through his skill, we saw many elephants, including a family with babies, but also crocodile, water buffalo, deer, mongoose and many birds. It was clear not all safari experiences are equal and we felt very lucky.

Located down a narrow, unprepossessing track off of the main road, 15 minutes drive from park entrance.

An individual chalet in a leafy garden, which is still a black pepper plantation. A large room, well equipped with air con, fan, fridge, kettle and lockable drawer. Hot shower in wet room. An outside patio. Friendly, helpful staff, who efficiently organised our safari. Excellent breakfast. Evening meal available - a varied Sri Lankan buffet.

Not very comfortable bed and pillows. Quite a lot of mosquitos in the bathroom because you cannot close the window.

Staff was awesome, they are absolutely the best part of this accommodation. She was really sweet and dedicated, she has always a big smile on her face and is ready to help you with anything during the stay. He is the one we were in touch before arriving and helped us arranging safari and transportation from Tangalle and then to Ella, which was much better than the uber cars we used before. The safari was good to see elephants but nothing to do with African ones.

The property was clean and nice. If you don’t have dinner plans I definitely recommend having dinner here, it was delicious. The staff were so friendly, they organized our safari for us at a great price and it left from the resort so you did not have to travel anywhere to meet up with your guide. Our guide was great, knew so much about the animals. Overall it was a lovely stay!

I couldn’t really say anything that I didn’t like

This property is amazing value for money. Our host provided us with a great breakfast and dinner. She organised a safari for us and was most understanding when I needed to change the length of our safari due to an injury. She recommended the baby elephant orphanage which was also fantastic.
