Lovely homestay, we got everything we needed. The room is cozy and very clean, it is just a few steps from the beach. Kitchen is well equipped. Lucky is a great and helpful host:)

Lucky and his wife are the best hosts you can imagine! They do everything to make your stay as good as possible. Everything is very clean, they have a little kitchen you can use, space for your wet clothes, outdoor shower, etc... really everything you need! The breakfast was incredible good and very much. Also had dinner once, which was also really delicious and more than enough. The beach is only 1 min away by foot. I stayed there twice during my stay in Sri Lanka. It's the best place, when you are in SK Town. I will definitely come back! Thank you Lucky!

The room was really clean and cozy. Laki and his family were so kind and helpful. There is a kitchen for guests to use which was nice. Overall you will feel welcomed and cared for. The breakfast was plenty and really tasty. The wifi was really fast and reliable. Laki told us, he recently upgraded to an unlimited data plan and it works like a treat!

Our stay at Guillet Beach Home was amazing. We loved staying at the family, who took very good care of us. The location is very near the beach, the room was big and comfy, and the breakfast and diner were amazing. Recently, they've improved their wifi, it worked well! Everything was fine

Lovely place in SK Town We loved Guillet beach home hosted by Lucky, with his lovely wife and daughter. Very welcoming, always there to help if we needed anything. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, bigger than shown on the pictures. A/C, hot water, everything you need. The kitchen facilities were perfect, with a fridge and all cookware we needed. They provided us spices. For this honest price you get quality and a calm environment. Thank you Lucky and thanks to your family. 🙏🏻

I can't think of anything.

Value: Not “cheap” but far less expensive than the neighboring hotels and guesthouses. If you value cleanliness and warm hospitality you will appreciate how Guillet House excels at these. Location: Half a block from the beach and surf yet removed enough from the road to minimize traffic and people noise. A note for budget travelers: groceries and simple food is available about two blocks walk to the main road. Accommodation: A small house with 3 or 4 very, very clean, simple rooms with all furnishings, appliances and decorations in great shape. The beds are comfortable and not cheap foam. The Fan, AC and hot water worked flawlessly and were probably brand new. A clean, well-stocked kitchen is available but heavy users may need to pay for propane. Staff: This is a family home that guests are welcomed into. Lucky and his wonderfully-welcoming family are always attentive and making efforts to accommodate their guests. There are many repeat visitors here for a reason- Lucky and his family take great care and pride in providing hospitality, food and good cheer. Lucky also provides transport and tours in his spotless tuk tuk or in a car (to or from the airport in Colombo).

With electricity's problems(non functional A/C) (no problem of this booking, but governent....)there were hot in the room.

The family was really nice. Close to beach. Room was small but tidy. Price is very acceptable.

I came with 2 friends and it was a perfect room for us as they had 3 single beds. i had such a memorable stay, the family is incredible kind and helpful plus very good cooks! I was keen to try a beetroot curry, and they were happy to include it with dinner. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner a lot, they make sure you will not go hungry 😊. 2 min walking to the surf beach, which is great as well!

There are cameras everywhere, which is a little creepy, to the point where I checked the room for cameras (there were none). There are a bunch of small charges for using gas, or water bottles etc. with signs that "X is very expensive". Maybe but other places don't charge as much so a bit misleading at best. He tried to charge us double the price for a tuktuk ride and seemed 'surprised' when we said we knew that wasn't the real price.
