The room is huge! Very comfortable bed and bathroom. Walking distance to train + restaurants! The family is so lovely to stay with! And so so so cheap for the quality! Host even picked us up from the station with our luggage free of charge!

Hiran was the most genuine and kind host we’ve come across in our stay, he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, including giving me his own mattress (he assured us he had a spare!) to put on the ground when I let him know I was too tall for the bed in the room (I’m 189cm) We had already booked a knuckles trekking tour before we found out he also ran the same tour (through HS Tours), his price was significantly lower so we wished we had booked through him. The room itself is above Hiram’s family home, with amazing views of the Kandy skyline. There are some fairly steep stairs to get to the property as Tuk Tuks struggle to get up and around to where it’s located on Google maps so bear this in mind when booking. If you’re a very light sleeper, possibly not the best option for you as there are small gaps between roof and walls, but we loved waking up as the city woke in the mornings.

They are super nice and friendly and give you space to do whatever you want. Very nice place, chill with good view from the hill, easily walk to the lake (~2km). Hot water, spacious room and vedy clean. You have your own yard and can wash clothes. Very good value with the prices 10/10.

Absolute gem in Kandy and in Sri Lanka. Real deal Homestay, not like a hostel that just say it's Homestay. I'm grateful I got to stay with this lovely family, I was even invited to their little boy's birthday. Peaceful own room on the top floor, walking distance to Kandy train station.

Nothing, all good!

Kind and helpful family. Bedroom has lovely views. Walking distance to many shops and a nice walk to the tea museum on the otherside. The owner helped orginise a private traditional dance lesson / workout which we did on our balcony. We could taylor it to however we wanted it. The instructor is named Jeewa, a friend of the owner. Kind, professional and an experienced dancer. We really enjoyed it!

Since I was born in Sri Lanka I had an issue, I even showed him my US passport, but still they have a policy not rent this place to Locals. Very Weard. But the guy was so nice, he said due to neighbors he has to. Hmm

We had a really great stay. A owners friend picked us up from the Railway Station which was super nice. The room is pretty new, very spacious and offers all you need like a comfortable bed, table with chairs, warm water shower and a nice terrace with a great nature view. It was super clean and is pretty new made. The owner is super nice and helpful, he gave us some ideas what to do around. We got offered also some tea. Thanks again for this great stay, if we have had more time in Sri Lanka (it's our last week here after 7 weeks) we would have come again. :) We warmly recommend this place.

- it's tricky to flush the toilet - the stay is a little bit far from town, but you can order a tuk tuk, Uber or just walk during the day (approx. 30 min) - the path (from the taxi drop) to the homestay is quite dark

the host and family are so lovely and great hospitalities. they cooked tasty food or tea for me, picked me up at the train station, gave recommendation for Kandy and if you want you can book tours with them to support the locals.

Hiran and his family were the perfect hosts! He picked me up from train station , got me some tea and also showed me around Kandy to find something nice for dinner. We had nice chats about the life in Sri Lanka and he also gave me some tips for my next travel stops. The room was totally clean, comfortable and with the best view. You can just relax on the terrace and enjoy the skyline from Kandy. And his whole family was just really lovely. Can recommend to everybody!

Accommodation is very basic, huge gap between walls and roof, so feels like sleeping in a tent. Cleanliness is not great, the dusty lamp shade covered with spider webs should really be removed. No towels and toilet paper were provided and owner said we were the first ones to ever ask for tpaper. Surroundings pretty noisy with neighbour playing loud music from 6am till around 10pm.

Low price is a positive I guess, but you get what you pay for.

Would be helpful if there is thick blanket provided on the bed as it does get cold in night. The blanket which is there in the room was bit dusty since am allergic i could not use it. Also the hot shower didn’t work on 2nd day not sure why so had to take cold shower in early hours.

It is closer to the city centre and pick me tuk tuk may only charge 180 SLR. The house owner is very friendly and goes out of their way to help us. I would recommend to all travelers.
