For the type of short-term holiday in this country we were forced to stay too little time here in Heritage Rangiri Villa

I had chosen this hotel to stay away from the chaotic traffic of Dambulla and in fact I found a real pearl of peace and wisdom. The structure is modern and well furnished internally. The room is large with very comfortable beds and mattresses. The bathroom is equipped with every local comfort, including a good Wi-Fi and there are many electric sockets, good air conditioning and blade fan that are almost silent. The manager is a kind, affable and caring person who organized 2 days of unforgettable excursions by taking us from the Avukana Buddha to Pidurangala, Sigiriya rock and Polonnaruwa ancient complex. He also edited breakfast and dinner in detail delighting us not only with his local dishes but also of a warm company and his precious indications. The location of this hotel, despite the rural appearances, is strategic for those who want to visit the famous temple in the Dambulla's Cave Rock Temple and the surrounding area on foot in a few minutes. But it is also for those who want to make close encounters with elephants and other animals that feed themselves along these roads, without resorting to a safari... to take exceptional photos. In short, to start knowing the culture of Sri Lanka we could not find better! This place is already an experience in itself, highly recommended, and we wish all the best for him.

It was a little noisy after 7.30, if you want to sleep longer, ask for a room not near the dining area.

Amazing hospitality and customer focus. Authentic breakfasts, you can order dinner. Sights within walking distance. And all this for a fairly modest price. 100% I recommend staying here.

Great place to stay, clean and comfortable. The staff are the nicest people and helpful with any information. The dinner rice and curry was delicious, best we had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was also very good. Warmly recommend this place to everybody.

Perfect stay! I wanted to stay 1 night, ended up extending :) the very friendly owner had a lot of suggestions about sights to visit, organised a safari within minutes of arrival - I saw lots of elephants. Visited Sigiriya and Pidurangala, the caves. His neighbour is a tuk tuk driver, took me everywhere. It was all very comfortable and easy. Travelling solo I felt very well taken care of - can totally recommend!

Not aware that Sigiryi tourist village was 16 km away.

What I really appreciated was Serath's kindness and willingness to do his best to make our stay great! He gave us lots of information about the area and organized a beautiful NP safari within minutes of our arrival and joined us in helping us find as many animals as possible! Our stay here was fantastic. The owner was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, arranging a complimentary pickup from the bus station to the accommodation. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire environment was impressively clean. They also prepared excellent, Sri Lankan-style breakfasts. It completely exceeded all our expectations for the price. Additionally, it's in a great location, within walking distance to the cave temple.

I can't remember anything. If something didn't work, Sarath fixed it immediately.

Sarath is a very kind, passionate and helpful host (and an excellent cook!), he even arranged a birthday cake short term and we had the best curry for dinner in Sri Lanka so far (after 10 days we already have a good comparability). He organized a driver for our visit in Sigiriya at a reasonable price and when we left he made sure we catch the right bus to our next destination. ❤️ The location is very close to the cave temples (walking distance) Rooms are air conditioned so the high temperatures didn't affect us during the night.
