We rented the budget rooms and there is no a/c them (we missed this while booking) so the room was way too warm even with two fans.

Great location, close to good cafes and restaurant. Beach is also walking distance. Very good breakfast and the woman who runs the place is very friendly. Safe area, can definitely recommend for female solo traveler.

Great price-quality ratio! Very comfortable beds, the bathroom has a lot of space, hot water for shower with good pressure. There is mosquito net and a lot of power outlets with adaptability for different regions. Plus, the breakfast is included and very good and complete. Location: 5 min to Hiriketiya beach by foot.

The location is really good - a short walk to Hiriketiya beach (5 mins), nice cafes and restaurants (on the same street or down towards beach) and Dikwella town/beach (30 mins) or you can get tuk tuks easily. A short 10 minute tuk tuk from Wewrukenala train station. The room we stayed in was lovely and felt like it’d been recently refurbished. It was super clean, had high ceilings, it was large with tables etc for your things and the water pressure was really good. There were nice places to sit outside and on balconies. Overall it felt very relaxed and was very comfortable. Breakfast really tasty and was different each of the days we stayed (1. Dahl, roti, eggs & pancakes 2. Hoppers & curry 3. Toast, jam, omelette).

The location is fantastic, everything in a close proximity! Needed to use laundry 2 times and owners were nice enough to let us use it free of charge!

The place is just wonderful. The breakfast is very delicious and good. The host "Aisha" is one of the greatest person I ever met in Sri Lanka. The A/C, the location, everything was nice.

We stayed in two rooms. At the A/C room the bathroom had a strong sour smell which was strange because it was clean. The walls of the second room (with a fan) did not reach the ceiling so the mosquitoes would come in at night. We avoided them by not turning on the light at night and doing everything in their wonderful shared balcony.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The host was nice. The mosquito nets were very well kept.

I had the pleasure to stay at the anew Radiant House. The host is very helpful and supportive throughout your stay. Conveniently located, close to the beach and some very good restaurants, the Garlic being the best one. Breakfast was the best part, served in the house garden, surrounded by palms and trees. We had 4 wonderful nights at the resident! the family is super friendly and helpful! the breakfast was amazing :-) we could rent their scooter for a cheap price and also helped us with other stuff. they also have a tuktuk if you wanna go somewhere! its just a 7 minute walk to the beach and restaurants are nearby.

Well, it’s the landlady and her owner son that make first impressions! She’s always laughing and so pleasant; nothing is too much trouble. The whole family in fact are just a joy to be around! (and that includes ‘Sheba’ the adorable Alsatian puppy). We loved this place so much we booked a further four days before our itinerary took up up the Western Coast to Bentota. The property is super-clean and well appointed. Air Con rooms available if not the super-fast double fans to keep you cool. We had a balcony room with double windows opening up onto jungle vistas. It’s a short stroll to the breathtaking Hiriketiya Beach and Dikwella Beach is just a short Tuk Tuk or scooter ride away. Make sure you’re wearing your ‘hungry trousers’ come breakfast because you probably won’t want to eat again until Din Dins! Ayesha is a fabulous cook and every breakfast is different! A couple of minutes stroll to the end of the street and there are two wonderful restaurants . One serves excellent fresh seafood (pick your own uncooked fish and have it cooked the way you like!), the other ‘Cafe Garlic’ you can’t miss; at night it’s illuminated tens of oil lamps and has a wonderfully atmospheric dining garden to the rear - magical!
