We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomUp in the tree house the noise can be a bit too much if someone is a light sleeper.
I had a pleasant stay at Humbhaha. It is a must see place when you go to Kataragama. You can't stay any closer to nature than this hostel, waking up every morning to birdsongs or maybe even the racket of monkeys-grrr and of course not to mention the little animal sanctuary that the owner has. I can only recommend the place!

GermanyThe bathroom was private, but it would be good to give it some maintenance. Adding a snk would be a great idea. As good as the vibes are in the evening - asking for help in the morning is a little tricky. If you plan to leave before breakfast, organize everything the evening before.
I definitly liked the vibe there. Gathering in the evening, drumming, having a beer. This was really great. I stayed in the treehut (bottom one), which I liked a lot, but it was right next to the communal area with music and drumming.

AustraliaUnfortunately a rat entered our room late at night. The room was not completely closed off to the outdoors and is in the jungle so this can happen. Thankfully the staff were still up and we asked to change room. Mira was very helpful and put us in a much nicer room, however the owner laughed at us when we told him we were uncomfortable about the rat.
The location was beautiful as it’s in the heart of the jungle. There is lots of wildlife and they have very cute puppies which Mira takes wonderful care of. The young man working there was also very nice and helpful. The room we were moved to was wonderful and quite comfortable and private. The next morning they helped arrange a taxi for us which was great as we had a long journey.

This resort has saved my faith in the beauty of Sri lanka. It is a little paradise on this island. to anyone who has an imagination, I heartily recommends it. The buildings and the workmanship of every detail is stunning in their beauty. It is located on the edge of the holy city of Kataragama and has its own access to the river , where you can cool down. the food is made from local vegetables and is wonderful. The Jungle welcomes you with a multitude of animals and the sounds of nature, which is everywhere. The character of the place is boho, and not for the fearful. Every day there are evening concerts on drums and possible dances. Everyone can participate. A wonderful, unusual place for relaxation and also a safari in Yala Park which the resort organizes. I fell in love with this place.

ChinaIn all my years of traveling, I have never seen such an arrogant owner! Most Sri Lankans are very friendly, but he is not! There was a group of tourists singing and dancing together at the hostel at 2 am I didn't sleep well, but I didn't pay much attention to it. It happened in the hostel! ! ! The next morning the owner asked me how I slept and I casually mentioned it! His reaction shocked me. I thought he was joking at first, and then I was completely speechless. He said you only paid 4 US dollars (actually 6.2 US dollars), what do you expect, the other 10 people are happy but you are not happy, that’s no problem, if you are not satisfied you can leave without pay with a completely arrogant attitude! This was totally out of my experience and I was totally pissed off by him afterwards I took out my gopro and insisted on his apology but he didn't and just wanted to escape Ps,the location is near forest,close to nature But lots of mosquitos ,and dorms situation really not that good

FranceDuring a really great evening where we got to play different instruments with all the guests the owner started smoking. So I hope it's one of the main reason the further situation happened : While I was being polite answering an other guest question I became his pushover. He just fix on me wanting to explain me life, what was wrong with me, how I should act,... I try to ignore it at first then when It was too much he wouldn't let me answer to what he was arguing and at a point clearly told me to shut up. This moment was really rude and put a bad feeling above all the greats things from this place. For this reason I cannot rate 10 as I would love because I can't agree on this behavior. I believe if you don't fall in his bad sight you would only have a great time.
The place's magical and like no others one you'll see in srilanka. They created everything by theirs hands and you can tell how artistic and passionate they are. I got a really lovely surprise because I had booked a dorm and since they had no others customer they upgraded me in the wooden house that I highly recommend. In the morning you wake up with the squirrels playing around and monkey watching you.

Australiavery poor communication. disappointed customer care. we haven’t been notified even though our booking has been cancelled. we were almost reaching the stay and just called the property to confirm our arrival time. until that we didn’t know our booking cannot be done due to the property ran out of accommodation. we were travelling 5.5 hrs journey just to stay over night at. we left no options in the street at night because of poor communication
