There is a nice walking path very close to the hotel, near the lake, jungle, with a view point. the owner is a really nice guy and showed us this path by himself. Overall I highly recommend it.

“Into The Wild” is the best place to stay in Sigiriya! The staff is the nicest and most considerate team we have ever met. The service was extraordinary: You can order food at any time and it’s always prepared freshly, they arranged day trips to Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa as well as to the Nationalparks nearby and of course transport to Sigiriya and Pidurangula Rock for us. There is also a very nice temple right next to the hotel where you can watch the sunset. “Into The Wild” is the right name for the accommodation because many animals are living around that area. So you shouldn’t be surprised to see elephants, peacocks and many other birds around there. The garden and the pool are great for relaxing. The rooms and the rest of the hotel are perfectly clean and inviting. We would love to come back!

Nice big rooms with a terrace and everything was very clean. The staff was very helpfull and flexible with breakfast time. Swimming pool and garden are great (limes, palms and papayas growing around ..)

it is hard to find the accommodation so please place a sign service can be improved by proactively asking for food and drink orders. this is a general issue in Sri Lanka so improving it could make the accommodation better than others… food was prepared just after ordering (including chopping the ingredients)

We had an amazing time in the Wild Sigiriya - big rooms, a big pool where you will enjoy to swim after the hike and great garden. We could even see the peacocks and elephants! Loved staying there. You can take bicycles and have a great ride around the village and to Sigiriya or go for a safari. And during the night if there is no moon you can see the stars.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. Isu was our tour guide driver. He took us to Dambulla and Polonnaruwa. He made sure we won't miss anything during our stay. He also drove us to Negombo, our final destination. He taught us how to play Carrom, a Sri Lankan game. I definitely recommend him! You have everything you need in this villa. Also the staff is super caring and very friendly, and food was delicious!

We had to change rooms as power points, ceiling fan and fridge not working. Tv and safe not available in most rooms. No comfy chairs to sit on. Bar options limited. Road in was so muddy you could not go out to walk.

The location is a little to far away from main road with no good walking access during nights. So you can stay here if you want to have all your meals here. The breakfast is below average not a lot of vegetarian options. You need to ask for basic things like breads, butter etc. the fan in the room was also not working.

The staff was very friendly especially ashan he helped us plan the overall stay at sigiriya.

1. Didn't like the Road leading to the property, our vehicle got stuck and had to be pushed out of the mud! 2. We were amazed that this hotel was run by a group of young men and 2 other ladies, (they did a good job under difficult circumstances) the Owner apparently lives abroad!! 3. Not sure who actually confirms the bookings and allocates rooms, our room a triple was in the last block, which was still work in progress, shocking as the Health and Safety Issues were completely ignored. I am sure the owner is aware of this, but choose to ignore it. There is building work on the block extension, so NO lights in the Stairways and NO Handrails Shocking 4. We had NO hot water on occasions NO Hairdryer NO TV NO Bedside Lamps 4. As it rained the pathways were flooded, however we could walk on the narrow path by the buildings, unfortunately no one had thought connect the buildings and once again, you had to step into the water to cross over, crazy 5. There were NO Lights in the Stairway NO Handrails So dangerous 6.. Perhaps someone should check this hotel out, because there are issues to be addressed

We liked the Location, however we had a huge issue with getting to and from the property as the road was like a quadmire Some needs to address this urgently. Our Vehicle had to be pushed out as it got stuck in the mud!

The staff has major issues, we had to order several times to be able to understand with them in English. On the last day we left at 5:30 and asked for a breakfast package, if possible even prepared from the evening, it wasn't possible, as no one was available to do this, even is we were with 2 kids and our room was with breakfast included. We had to ask specifically for some pool towels they brought us 2 towels very dirty that could not be used. Overall the hotel is in a very nice location but very poor maintenance.

The hotel overall is fine, but it way overrated.

The approach road is not really a road, just a mid path and very narrow. Quite hard for normal cars to go easily. Especially when it’s dug up (like it was when we went). They did send a jeep to get our luggage so it was okay, but on the second day the jeep wasn’t available so we had to walk, at night, which was a bit scary, since wild Elephants roam the area there. So if you get there when it’s not dark, should be fine.

The room was spacious and the staff very friendly. It’s located literally in the jungle!

Deluxe room is very basic, no mini fridge or chairs inside. Also had a cockroach and stained sheets when we arrived. Walls are stained too, has insects and TV connects to CCTV…

Staff were very likeable and helpful, got our laundry done quickly and were very accommodating. The shower was also good for the area and so was the food.

The hotel is very hard to reach - you have to go up a very muddy path. This would be fine if it was advertised/informed properly. Better sign posting would also help.

There are only 2 options offered for breakfast - Continental and Sri Lankan. The Sri Lankan breakfast was good but it’s the exact same meal every time, a variety needs to be offered if staying more than one night. The Continental breakfast is minimal - some fruit, bread, margarine and jam is all that’s given. Like the Sri Lankan breakfast, the meal is the same every time.

The road was very bad and all the buildings could do with some renovation/touching up. Also ran out of hot water in the night. Pool was a bit murky as well.

This villa wasn't open, 2 young lads ran up the road to let us in. There was no heating on and no food available so we were not able to stay there - but they still took our money which I'd like back!

The lighting outside is partly on, the access to our room and the pool, the main areas where we stayed, was very dark. The first night there was no hot water in our room. The service in the restaurant is very slow, we waited a long time for the food, longer than usual. And the thing that bothered us the most - in the morning we asked them to tidy up our room and when we returned in the late afternoon we were told that they didn't have enough because of a lot of work with other guests. This is unacceptable, we are also guests at the hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, the pool is lovely and birdsong in the background. The staff is very very nice and tries hard.
