Hit and miss on WiFi.

Great place, location of the hotel on the beach with the provision of a good size room which had a/c, ceiling fan and a fridge. Buffet style breakfast provided with a good selection of food . I highly recommend this hotel.

The hot water took a long time to heat up. Also, the hotel felt extremely clean yet almost abandoned with some furniture taped over in plastic and not a soul to be seen. Not that I used it but the pool needed a clean.

This place was quite an odd one. They were doing refurbishments on most of the property and there wasn’t a single other guest there aside from me but strangely they had a lot of staff cleaning the rooms so maybe lots of people just checked out. I had a good one night here with a goal to surf which was available right outside the hotel on the beach. The rooms were spotless and large with a balcony. Despite an abandoned feel I felt safe as a sole female traveller.

The resort was so good, way past what we expected. Rooms were spacious and clean, food was super and really affordable! Staff were lovely and always willing to help, it's right on the Weligama beach which was amazing. Highly recommend.

The rooms were basic but clean. Wifi dreadful! Food at the hotel was reasonable but plenty on offer elsewhere! Air conditioning was noisy. There were no sun loungers at the pool and it was next to the staff quarters, there was personal washing drying on the pool terrace every day! The hotel is clean but very worn in lots of places, with loose tiles, paving stones and cracked steps.

Breakfast was good, staff were friendly and polite. The pool was great but no sun beds to lay on! Monkey feeding was brilliant at 2ish at the pool. Maid service and cleaning of rooms excellent. Beach location was perfect.

wi-fi sometimes didn’t work

the rooms very well equipped with mini bar which was well priced ( matched same price as downstairs bar which was great!) staff were always cleaning communal areas so always felt clean. good location for peace and quiet right on the beach with own sunbeds and hammocks. pool was also a nice bonus. breakfast buffet was sufficient for me and also food in hotel restaurant was good. next door to another very good restaurant if you wanted different options for places to eat with out having to go into the town

A few members of our group reported that their rooms were not clean. Some rooms had cobwebs, and they found spiders and cockroaches in their rooms at night. However, we were able to get rid of them.

We previously stayed at Jaga Bay Hotel years ago. Just like last time, our stay was good overall. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the hotel is located near the beach.

Jagabay is right infront of the ocean with beatiful sand and see where you can surf and have long walks...also located near nice restaurants and very close to both Mirissa and Weligama beach. The staff is super nice and very accomodating ...I will definitely go again next time I am in Srilanka.

Awesome hotel at the quiet part of Weligama bay. I would like to thank all the staff: everyone was extremely friendly and hospitable. From fast and comfortable airport transfer to daily rooms cleaning -- any service was provided great. Hotel offers wide selection of fresh fruits on breakfast, nice deck chairs on the first beach line, own swimming pool and cozy rooms with high quality air conditioning. Crucial option for surfers: great school "Surf Discovery" nearby. You don't worry about equipment rentals and all the facilities you may need to catch a wave or two ;-)

Most of the aircondition outside the rooms are in terrible state, poorly maintained and noisy. Pool-view rooms are NOT pool-view, but Garden-view. In the rooms deemed pool-view the aircon units are extra noisy because of the clustered location in the hallway Pool was missing most of the steps on the ladders. The pool itself was properly maintained during our stay Floors above first level has absolutely no water pressure.

Unfortunatly not a very nice hotel . Old looking with dated funriture. A lot of contraction is taking place all around the hotel . It didnt feel like relaxing holidays to us . breakfast and lunch very basic . Pool is large but the chlorine in the pool makes the situation unbearable for your eyes.

The only good thing about the hotel is the beach . staff is friendly .
