In the Bathroom is only Soap available and no Hairdryer. Would be nice to have more sunbeds and Umbrellars against the sun.

Very nice Beach, good swimming and walking. Not many people arround. Room was nice and OK with all you need. AC and Fan very good and important. If Shower/Shampo/Hairdryer is needed ask for it. Breakfast is very, very good and you can eat as much as you like, also excellent service. Staff is fantastic and takes care of you all the time. The food (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) is just great and fantastic. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you. You can ask for Beachtowels, they will give them to you for free.

The room was just off the reception area which was a little surprising. The windows to the communal area should probably be frosted.

Great place right on the beach. The restaurant was great, staff being really polite and helpful. The beach is beautiful and it's a great location to visit the other beautiful beaches close by. Definitely worth visiting a turtle conservation in the area too - we went to Galbokka Research Center.

Great location right on the beach. Hard working staff & good bar and restaurant with lovely ocean vibe. Our bungalow was big and cool with a balcony. Breakfast was awesome. Refreshing pool easily accessible.

Exquisitely located on what is usually a beautiful, empty beach Janus paradise is a special place. Employees exude kindness and are readily available to help. Incredible value for what you pay. Breakfast is fantastic as is most every meal they prepare. It was a real treat staying here!

There was nothing not to our liking.

The staff was courteous and hospitable. Everything was maintained really clean. The location was perfect and so close to the beach. Their Srilankan breakfast is a huge spread. They went out of their way to bring in my friends birthday by keeping cake ready beyond restaurant hours and even gave us birthday drink to celebrate. Thank you to the owner and the staff that really made their guests stay memorable at Sri Lanka.

It was a little loud with the train track being right behind but it didn’t bother us.

The staff were so kind! We loved the option of choosing your breakfast (Sri Lankan or Western) and the food was delicious overall. Very clean with a nice beach area. Janu makes himself present and even helps out where needed. We loved the quiet spot out of the main city.

Moved from another guest house a couple of hundred metres away. This one was probably worse value for money [quite pricey for what it is] but it is still the one I would choose if I returned. Good room, quirky set up, nice restaurant. One obvious improvement would be putting fridges in the rooms.

A slight issue with road noise in the room during the day, but you don't come here to sit in your room! Night time is no problem, there is no road noise at the beach, but this is an issue with a lot of resorts throughout the country.

A wonderful homely stay for 4 nights, it is certainly located in Paradise! Immaculately clean throughout, room and all public areas, staff constantly ensuring standards throughout the day. The local breakfast is awesome, quality and quantity, the Western style is basic but of a high standard. Food for lunch and dinner was so good we had no desire to try anywhere else. Late afternoon a display of fresh fish, crabs, prawns and lobster is put on display for you to choose what you want, we tried everything in 4 days, cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. On our last night the restaurant was full so Janu arranged our own table literally at the waters edge, and entertained us with drinks and his company after our meal. A very proud man and rightly so of the business he has established, and with a lot of repeat western customers speaks volumes for how good it is.

I have no complaints

I had a lovely new year celebrating in janus paradise rest. Janus was a great host, the location fab. I didn't venture away from the hotel for my 4 days. The rooms were comfortable, the prices fair, staff pleasant and food nice. I shared some good company and fab sunsets. Which was pretty much what I was looking for. The pool was pleasant in the Sri lankan heat. The ocean in Bentota is rough, not easy for casual swimming, but refreshing, and the beach clean and quiet. Thanks Janus

I dislike agressive the owner to tell me to cancel the room because was a shortcut for power in my room. Don't have any problem to look other hotel, but not in a late afternoon and actually to kick you out. Although he changed the room, I give a 1 star rating for the attitude. He should apologise or offer a free beer or meal.

Property right on the beach! We had the greatest new year's celebration on the beach! Staff is so nice and friendly! Our room had an ocean view. Very comfortable, great AC, very clean and nice pool.

Sometimes housekeeper didn't replace floor mats and toiletry stuff or leave toilet paper, while we had our room cleaned every two days instead of every other day (which is their standard practice)

-Very quiet and peaceful. Other guests were quiet, too. This place isn't for those who want to party. -Right on a very clean beach. Liked it better than Bentota Beach. -Great breakfast. We stayed for 13 nights and ate Sri Lankan breakfast every day. -We loved their soup--they were all good, but the bacon one was the best.

Nothing. The rooms are basic but clean. If you want a 5 star room maybe this isn’t the accommodation for you. What the rooms lacked is more than made up for with the wonderful hospitality. Janu and his family made us feel very welcome.

The location and the hospitality were excellent. To be able to watch the sunset and eat dinner on the beach so close to the ocean was fantastic. The food was great too.
