    Nothing.

We had an excellent stay at Jayawimana. The hosts are very friendly, kind and helpful. It is in a peaceful part of Kandy. They gave us a lot of useful tips for visiting Kandy, cooked us delicious dinners and we had some lovely conversations together. We would love to come back one day.

Fair to mention is the distance from the city, but it is cheap to get a tuktuk (around 400 Rs, 15 minutes drive).

Great choice for staying in Kandy. Rienzie was very welcoming, friendly, talkative and more than helpful with everything. He even cooked me dinner when I arrived in the evening. I also recommend staying at his sisters place in Dambulla if you are heading there.

Our planned one-night stay at this Kandy homestay turned into a captivating chapter of connections and adventure. From the moment we stepped in, we felt embraced by its warmth and charm. A shared dinner, priced at just 850 Sri Lankan rupees, became a doorway to meaningful conversations with the owner and his nephew. What began as a simple meal evolved into a night of shared stories and laughter that flowed well into the late hours. The enchantment led us to extend our stay by two more days, drawn by the richness of our interactions and the sense of belonging we felt. Deep conversations and shared adventures wove a tapestry of memories that will forever linger in our hearts. Notably, the owner's professionalism and former role as a hotel school principal shone through in every aspect of our experience. This wasn't just a stay; it was a genuine connection and a home away from home. If you seek an experience beyond the ordinary, where connections flourish and memories are made, this Kandy retreat comes highly recommended. It's a haven that transcends the traditional concept of lodging, offering an enriching chapter in the story of our journey.

Bed could be a bit bigger, but everything else was just perfect, so it was not an issue at all. :)

It was our best stay in Sri Lanka so far! The owners really treat you like a family. They prepared us delicious breakfast and dinner and even considered my special diet. Also, I was able to use their kitchen. Since it was one day before Sinhala and Tamil New Year, we also had a chance to taste some traditional cakes. :) We had some interesting conversations about Sri Lanka's culture and got to know many new facts. There was a mosquito net in the room and the room was very clean and modern.

It was perfect, the hosts are extremely nice and welcoming, the food is very good (you can even cook with them if you like!), it's also quiet and clean. The accommodation is a bit far from the center but there is a direct bus at the end of the street 😊

Bed is a bit smaller than we expected, location is far from the center

This is truly a homestay, like if you would visit your grandparents. Kind hosts will make sure you're comfy and serve you a good breakfast. Everyone speaks good english. Room is ok, clean, and cozy. Location is on a small road, so no crazy bus honks or noise. There's an electric mosquito repellent in the room. You can also find a garden in the backyard with all sorts of fruits. Thank you for the good time in Kandy!
