Nothing - everything was perfect

We loved this place - great pool & garden to chill out in, the room was very comfortable & clean (they clean every other day) plus hot shower & hand soap, the Wi-Fi was good (which is rare!), the breakfast was great value for money & yummy. We especially liked the fact they organised activities & on check in provided a map of the area with recommended restaurants, ATM’s supermarkets etc - all of which are really close by. They accommodated early check in & check out which was perfect & all the staff were really friendly. The best place we’ve stayed - would highly recommended

Some mosquitos but i bet it happened at other places on this island as well AC is a little bit cold and bed sheet is too thin at nights but can ask the staff to adjust it before sleeps

Well-defined arrangement and friendly staff here, who can offer any help or advice if you wanna know. Also the recommendation of restaurants on the overall mirrisa map are all fine here. Besides, i have to say many thanks for them to book an incredible whale-watching tour to me as the agency controlled the quota of customers but saved more abundant immersion for higher quality of experience. What's more, if you like cat, there are a dozen of sleeping cuties over there lol

The BBQ pool party was not really a party or at the pool. The BBQ was really disappointing. Minimaal effort. Luckily we got to now each other without their help. From the way they promoted the hostel on Insta, I expected way more. The hostel could also use more place to relax at. The kitchen, the cafeteria and the yoga hut are nice in theory but way to warm to actually spent time at. At the pool, more sunbeds in the shade please. Now I preferred to spend time in my room, if I wasnt in the town.

The dorm room is really nice. Very clean. The pool as well. Overall a good atmosphere. Everything in Mirissa is walkable, even though it's not in the midst of the chaos.

one of the best hostel I've ever been to. Booked for one night but stayed 10 days. The staff is amazing and can help with anything. All you need is there, people to meet, activities, pool, kitchen and laundry, yoga... A small bar by the pool and this place would be 20/10

A few more loungers by the pool would have been nice and prior warning to guests of any planned power cuts would also be helpful

Fantastic hostel, probably the best I've stayed in in Sri Lanka so far. Really helpful staff, they go through everything when you arrive and signpost to activities and things to do in the area. There's even a WhatsApp group that shares activities so it's easier to meet people. Great pool area and comfy beds in the dorms. Good that there were 2 showers per dorm too.

A bigger bedsheet cover would have been nice and the toilet door was squeaky each time you open it so I did get woken up during the night.

The room exceeded my expectations as it was my first hostel stay. It had plenty of space and two showers to use so there wasn’t a queue. I liked that we got a key to our locker as it’s less fiddly than using your own lock. The doors to each room was securely locked so no one could get into your room if they aren’t staying. There was a curtain for each bed which was a nice touch for some privacy and to keep things a bit darker if someone has a light on during the night. We had a clothes drying rack which was super handy to hang your wet clothes on and another bonus is you get given your own towel. Generally the hostel was very clean, had lovely cats and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Lastly they had an activities board which helps you meet other people.

Comfy and it had all what it is needed. The pool is a big plus. Also I loved the option of having a yoga class. Moreover, there are very often activities organised by the hostel. Great stay at JJ.

Mix of people in the hostel was a bit tricky, as it was a combination of "older" people, backpackers, surfers, all having slightly different lifestyles

Very nice clean place to stay in Mirissa. Friendly people and a lot of stuff organized which is fun. Room has hot shower and A/C which is super comfortable. Generally easy to meet people.

Shower not always hot when there was not enough sunshine during the day, other that it was perfect.

The private room was very clean, spacious and with a nice quiet terrace. Everyone was very kind and helpful, also the yoga class was wonderful to enjoy in the morning. The location is is close to everything restaurant, supermarket, the beach,...would definitely come back here.

Only one toilet for 8 people was too little (2 showers) and the room smelled.

Walking distance to beach, cafes etc. When I stayed there it was almost booked out and was very social with common spaces, we all went together to the party at Doctors House and even got free entrance!

It is a nice hostel at a good location. Nice place to get in contact with other travellers. I wish they had a bar that people can come together but they have a nice pool and tables around to chit chat. Lockers are a bit old but ok. They give you towels which is nice.
