We stayed there for only few hours, but owner did his best to make this a great experience. Staff was very kind, we had a great late breakfast and in general I 100% recommend this place due to good location and great service. Room was spacious, clean, AC and hot water were there + we get excellent treatment. Really great experience for our start of Sri Lanka journey!

Personally i would avoid Colombo and Negombo and head straight for the South or Southwest coast then rent a scooter to avoid the hassle from tuk tuk drivers. Negombo and Colombo are both as bad as one another,beaches are filthy and don't escape fuel/oil pollution or traffic fumes. You also have a great chance of being scammed or ripped off in Colombo(& Kandy) if you travel alone. Negombo is more honest and I had no problems there.

Staff spoke very good English. Great food and fabulous service. Excellent value for money. Not far from the beach and not far from the airport.

Very comfortable and spacious appartement, everything was new and clean. Calm surroundings and not far from town centre and beach. I liked that you can close everything (no open holes or cracks), so that no mosquitos can come inside. Friendly staff, wifi worked and it's possibe to wash laundry. Very good value for money (with an upgrade i got from booking.com)

Mr. Basil was so kind and so much out to help my two daughters in their stay , he was really helpful , so safe and I was so relieved, amazing place, superb service and care. I will recommend this place to anyone who needs a city stay and close to all places in the city as it is in the heart of the city but in a calm atmosphere. Thanks to Mr. Basil.

Basil is a very sweet and helpful host, he upgraded my room and helped with my luggage to the second floor. The room was very clean, it has everything I needed including an excellent workspace. It would be great if there was some drinkable water dispenser to refill our bottles. We wasted so many plastic bottles! :(

Mr. Basil the main staff was helpful and kind. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. Internet was fast. Except for some moments/days when it was a bit unstable. The roof has nice views and fresh breeze at night. Lovely

It only gets 7/10 instead of 9/10 as the night porter who assured me he would let me out of the building in the early morning for the taxi to airport didn't wake up(24 hour reception.?) despite me calling him and left me in a panic. Lucky I managed to get out but could have been a potential disaster if I missed the flight because of it. Negombo is Used as a stopover for tourists who have early or late flights, so this is an important detail. Sorry guys a lovely hostel but you need to get these things right.

Really comfortable room and clean and tidy with nice linen. Probably the best out of 5 hotels I stayed in Sri Lanka
