The only small small minor thing we didn’t like, was at hat the water pressure of the shower was a bit low

Very nice staff and super clean room. We had a big balcony/hallway for us that connected the room with the bathroom. The sheets smelled fresh and had no stains. We also had a breakfast here which included fruits, Jogurt, juice and toast with egg, jam, avocado

A fridge in the room would've been amazing.

Sulthan was an amazing host. On arrival our bags were taken up 2 flights of stairs for us and placed on tables to make it easy for us to access our items. The room was REALLY clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable we found in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was served outside our room at a time of our choosing and it was MASSIVE even by Sri Lankan standards. Lots of fruit, jam, eggs/ omelettes, yoghurts, teas, juices, toast. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Very clean and big room. Breakfast at an extra charge, but very big and delicious. Kind host who gave us good recommendations. Walking distance from train station. A bit far from the other attractions in Kandy.

We stayed here only for one night, but the accomodation was really nice. The host was so kind and the breakfast really good. The accomodation is near to a bus station and 10-15 minutes walking from the railway station. Value for money.

Everything was perfect - thank you!

It’s 100% the best place we’ve stayed so far in Sri Lanka. Awesome room with a massive, super comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful extra touches. The owner is incredibly sweet and helpful, the breakfast was great and the laundry was better than I can do at home. The location is close enough to the city and railway station but also just a little off the main road so still peaceful with a wonderful view from the rooftop. I highly recommend - I wish I could have stayed longer and will definitely stay there again if I return.

Absolutely amazing facilities and rooms as well as the best service! Kandy City Village Homestay comes highly recommended and is my favourite of Sri Lanka so far. Sulthan is an incredible host and was so kind and incredible helpful - shout out to Ali as well the tuktuk driver who drove me just in time to catch the Temple of the Tooth ceremony 😍 an incredible experience and I had the best nights sleep there in ages. Also was a beautiful building and had great views! The free breakfast was also a bonus!

Lovely accommodating host. Helped organise trips and experiences. Sulthan the owner has a friend Ali who drove us around in his tuktuk. We felt very safe and the price was reasonable. Thank you so much to Sulthan and his family for the best time we could have asked for in Kandy.

Only stayed 1 night before our train to Ella the next morning. Conveniently located a 3 min tuk tuk or 10 min walk from Kandy station. 15 min walk to the lake. A quiet oasis away from all the traffic noise. Room was clean and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

Sultan was eager to help us with anything, he arranged so many things for us. The rooms were clean and had plug-in mosquito repellant which was very useful. The property is in a busy area but tucked in a side street so it wasn’t noisy at all.

Nothing, everything’s perfect

We felt really at home right away from the moment we arrived and were welcomed with hugs from Sulthan. A beautiful homestay with spacious and spotless clean rooms. Sulthan’s family was very warm welcoming, super friendly and helpful with any request. Last minute just the day before arrival, my partner had asked for some decoration and a welcome drink on arrival for our first anniversary. We have been both overwhelmed with the effort Sulthan and his wife put into it to make us feel very special on this day. The room was perfectly decorated with dried and fresh flowers, lights, balloons, candles, a welcome juice and even a cake, which we shared with the family. Amazing laundry service during our stay and we opted for breakfast on a few days which comes with toasts, eggs and lots of fresh fruits which we enjoyed. Perfect sleep, very good mattress and bedding. We would always come back to this place, and would recommend it to friends. It was hard to leave after four amazing nights. Thank you Sulthan and Halimah for a perfect stay.
