it wasn't a place you could walk to from the nicest part of the town centre near the lake but Kandyan did offer free pickup, to get up the hill. You would definitely need a tuk tuk to get there and back otherwise, which the staff could easily arrange.

The pleasant staff tried very hard to make us comfortable. There was a small but more than adequate pool, and the view from our enormous room, with floor to ceiling windows and balcony, was excellent. Breakfast was very good indeed.

What I liked the most was the effort made to get me back my headphones which I left in the room. It wasn't easy to get them back but the host did all he could and eventually it worked.

The grubby white chairs at the pool were an absolute turn off for me. The lack of a fridge in the room was difficult, especially as the hotel is so far away from any shops and restaurants. The aircon in our room was impossibly noisy, and we were told the hotel was aware of it, but had done nothing about it. Be aware the hotel is only half constructed, but it isn't a problem.

The best thing about this hotel is Joshua! What a hardworking, efficient, obliging young man. Breakfast was sufficient, but served in an ugly part of the hotel. The pool was lovely, but needed some umbrellas for the loungers. The free pick up from the station was much appreciated, we would never have found the hotel in the hills.

The hotel is clean and nice, staff were helpful but through WhatsApp, not very present in the hotel lobby. We got to order breakfast at a time that suited, it was filling and on time.

It was hard to get in contact with reception. There was hardly ever someone there. There is not much to the hotel other than the rooms and a very small pool area.

Hotel was nice and clean, the room was spacious, breakfast was very nice and good value and the staff were friendly. It is best to get a tuktuk number from the hotel and use that driver for your trip.

Unfortunately, they couldn't pick up us from Kandy as it was raining heavily, and all their drivers were busy. However, they promised us to offer a free drop to Kandy instead of pickup when we checkout, and surely, they kept their promise. Very friendly staff and the rooms was clean.

We were initially a bit dubious about this hotel as it was so cheap, but we were really impressed. The guy on reception was chilled, helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice, clean, excellent views. We're often a bit fussy about hotel breakfasts but, whilst basic, it was fresh and nice. The hotel even offers a free pick up from the town when you arrive, which we didn't realise until after! The fox restaurant 5 min walk away is also worth a visit for decent food and great views. Overall, highly recommend and we would stay here again. bargain.

The bed, exceptionally noisy. The lack of atmosphere. The bottom line is that there are only a few rooms finished in what is going to eventually be a wonderful hotel. It’s priced to acknowledge this and as a result it’s very good value for money. But there are some things which need attention to ‘finish’ it, which aren’t done yet. But for the money you live with that. Still not sure why there was a beer can attached to a pipe in the bedroom 🤔

It’s a bit far from the city centre so you can only get here by Tuktuk or a scooter but it’s super quiet here, away from city noice and honking. You can get a western breakfast which is really tasty, the rooms are big and clean, unfortunately we got the one without any views but since we were mostly just sleeping there it wasn’t a problem at all. But what makes this place perfect, more correctly who, is Joshua! He’s always there to help you with basically anything, he goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing and comfortable.

The hotel is incomplete but that didn't affect my room or stay. If possible try to get a room with city view as my room didn't have this.

Amazing hotel at great value. As a backpacker it was a treat to stay here. Big comfy bed with TV in room. Modern facilities and really hot water for shower. The pool and deck were lovely for relaxing. The property location was perfect as I wanted to get out of the busy city somewhere near the Pekoe Trail starting point near Ceylon Tea Museum. Special shoutout to Joshua who helped me so much. Anything I asked of him he did! Including minding a bag for me to go and do the Pekoe Trail without too much luggage. I used Uber Eats for dinner so I didn't have to go out in the rain which I liked but others maybe not. Breakfast prepared by Joshua was fab!
