There was no wi-fi for our stay. We could use some hangers and a table in the room to put clothes and other stuff. I had to put my things on the floor.

We spent 3 nights at Kelum homestay. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with lamps close to the bed, fan and hot water, and a terrace with a very nice view on Bogambara stadium and the city behind. Our rooms were separated by an open space with a table where we had breakfast (prepared by ourselves - the kitchen and its fridge, microwave oven, boiler and cooking fire were at our disposal) and also dinner one night (take away) with the nice view on the city and the sound of the river below in the foreground. The host, who had worked in the Netherlands and Italy (and speaks Italian as well as English), helped us when we looked for a guide to walk in the Knuckles Range (we however chose another guide).

Shower not powerfull enough to run hot water but lovely spacious shower room and access could be a problem to some as very steep ramp and then steps

Clean accommodation Hospitality Laundry service and optional breakfast with a supplement Possibility to reserve tickets for the traditional dance show in town and Kelum menaged to reserve the front seats. Very very nice and calming view. Listening the sound of a little waterfall while falling to sleep.

The homestay was perfect! The location with the balcony view next to the small waterfall was perfect for chill evenings. Although it’s calm and a nice nature view, you are very central in the city. you can walk by foot to the Kandy lake in 10 minutes. The homestay itself was also very clean and the host Kelum is a really nice guy, who likes to help you and give you ideas, what to visit in Kandy. All in all the Homestay is really perfect 😊

This was one of the best places we stayed in Sri-Lanka. Really clean, good view, and a really nice host. You can also see monkeys from the balcony. Wi-Fi works really good, you receive toiletters and clean towels. All in all, great experience

To get there you need to go up the hill then go down by very narrow path and stairs . Not convenient if you have baggage. Room is very humid and in Kandy sometimes is very cold. they don’t have worm sheets I was cold all night. And If you can’t sleep if there is a noice like me then not good cause there is small beautiful waterfall close to the house. Water not warm at all.

amazing location close to center by foot , waking up to the sound of the waterfall is just perfect because you don’t hear the city sound pollution , Kelum is a very honorable man , full of life with a big warm heart always ready to help you in any circumstances! super friendly atmosphere in the house , this will definitely be our staying place in Kandy . his mother cooks beautiful rotti for breaky btw !!

The whole floor in the bathroom gets very wet after the shower. Unfortunately one evening we had a lot of ants in the room which came through the door.

The room has a great view over Kandy and the host ist very friendly. After a 10 minute walk you can reach the center of Kandy and the restaurants.

We didn't found it directly. Its a bit hide behind another homestay. Important to know: you have to walk up the hill and its a 15-20 minutes to the trainstation and city centre. Unfortunately there was no breakfast because of the actual situation.

The room was very clean and komfortable. It looks like the pictures. There is a small creek behind the homestay that you can hear and make us feel like we aren't in a city. Otherwise it was very quite. We didn't meet our host, just his family.

Kelum was very friendly and helpful. Organised a tuktuk ride to the town for us. we really enjoyed the evening on the terrace with him. the terrace offers a great view. the homestay is a 10 minute walk away from the City Center. we enjoyed that it was a calm, chilled and peaceful Place where you could recover from the noisy city.

This place is so nice to relax and just to enjoy nature after a visit in loud and noisy Kandy. It is a 5-10 min walk in the City and the Host Kelum is a very kind guy who talked good care of you. He helps and manages everything if you have a problem. Also recommended a cheap and good tuktuk driver. Breakfast was also delicious!
