Unfortunately our Jacuzzi tub motor didn't work & was not fixed even for our 2nd day after we mentioned it straight away in the morning. I also had requested to reduce the stay by one night before we arrived as I had our travel plans wrong, but I never received any refund for the 3rd night. May have been something lost in translation as otherwise the manager & staff were super friendly & helpful. Would not stop us from retuning as we still had a super time there!

The treehouse was a romantic dream perfect for our valentines stay with the tree branches reaching through the rooms. Great size bed with plenty of space around, also a sofa, a fridge & good size bathroom... plus an area down stairs with a big double hot tub for a good soak after a day on safari! The sounds from the birds & monkeys & elephants was just incredible. Fireflies at night sat up on your treetop terrace. You must also take breakfast on the lake in a canoe organised by the staff - just magical! Amazing home cooking also from the family working & living there.

The photos of the complex doesn't reflex the actual state - it looks bit neglected, the tree house was missing a step from the stairs; inside the net around the branches was missing too and at the night a mouse visited us, it was really horrible because we couldn't sleep.The Spa doesn't work. The food they serve is not what you expect from a place like this. Also, it is written that they are 10 km from the national park, but it has to be clarified that it is 50 km from the park entrance.

The silence; the staff and the manager were very helpful and tried to make their best for our comfort. They organized safary in the national park 1/4 of the price of the tour companies. The matress was amazing.

This place could be great but : There is a lack of maintenance/inspection and cleanliness. I get that we are in the middle of the wildlife and having a few bugs in the room is normal but having 3 frogs is not something normal, having had a room inspection before our arrival would have been prevent this. Not mentioning the spiders and spider nets inside the bed mosquito net. The bathroom was not clean, the floor was dirty and no shampoo/shower gel were present in the bathroom. No food option available which is not convenient when there is nothing around where you can get food from. The staff who received us doesn’t speak English, I am glad we came with our private driver who was translating. This may have being great years ago but it’s not anymore.

To be honest, this property itself has a lot of potential, but ruined by poor management. Cleanliness is the next big thing, everything was so dusty. Sometimes they had been covered with spider webs. I think the owner should be more concerned about the property than just ripping people's money off by providing false pictures published on booking.com. The premises is not at all like in the pictures but it's a deserted place middle of nowhere. There was only one caretaker who used to do everything from supplying and fixing things and from cooking to preparing tea and so on. My story starts from the early morning of the day of check-in. The caretaker called me around 7 in the morning and asked around what time we'd be arriving. I said we'll be there around 12-1 PM. But it was like 1.30 PM when I reached there and there was no one at the property. So I called the number which I received the call in the morning. Then the caretaker showed up and asked if we could wait a few minutes till he repaired the room. He also mentioned that he had to do everything due to no staff. (I booked the room 1 week in advance and he called me in the morning too) Since it was too hot out there, we wanted to take a bath. So we thought why not use the hot tub? But unfortunately, there was no shower gel or soap. The hot tub was so dirty and smelly. So we gave up the idea and moved on with the shower head. Again there was no soap, so we had to request. And then we think that he had to run to a nearby shop to fetch it. Things started to continue from there, there was no wifi, and the TV was not working at all. poor lighting and we had power failure in our treehouse a few times. It was not a power cut or a failure in the area but specifically our tree house only. The caretaker fixed them later. Then we had numerous water shortages too, we had to keep calling the caretaker to ask to turn the water motor on every time we ran out of water.

The only thing we loved was nothingness. It's very calm and quiet during the night. However, the daytime is a little bit chaotic with those monkeys. But we understand that we are in their territory, so we must bear with it. The nearby lake is beautiful in the evening even though it had less water on the day I visited.

Very overpriced for what you get. The rooms were lovely but not worth the price. We discovered afterwards that you must ask for tours by WhatsApp not with the hosts at the location. We tried with the hosts but their limited English made it very hard to organise tours, and we ended up missing out on doing activities as they did not know what we were asking for. Communication between the manager was very bad, as we tried to check out they told us our bill was double the price it should have been, so I had to call and tell them it was wrong and get it fixed. Overall the experience there was lovely but very very overpriced for what you get.

It was a beautiful location with lots of wildlife and the hosts cooked great food. The canoe ride in the close by lake was a great experience

Tree house is the best out of everything. It is 30 min to Udawalawe safari and also 30 min to Yala part 5 safari. You must take tour to river and have breakfast there. Highly recommended this place.
