We stayed Lake villa resort before the our Safari tour of Yala.very comfortable and very clean room.they staff is very friendly and very good safari organized by the hotel.they pickup us from ella by taxi very reasonable prices and next day after the safari they dropped us our next destination ..Everything was Very Good. Highly reccomended ..

The hotel has seen better days so if you want everything to be pristine it’s not the place for you but honestly it really didn’t matter to us. Beautiful setting, lovely stay.

Such a beautiful setting, surrounded by wildlife, big gardens filled with mango trees. There was a peacock in the garden and a number of monitor lizards and just outside the fence there were buffalo passing by. The staff were really flexible in making off menu food for my two young vegetarian children and we felt really well looked after. We tended to order our next meal a couple of hours in advance so that it would be ready in time and they were very accommodating of this.

Every thing was good

Firefly’s at night. Fantastic view of the lake in upstairs balcony, comfortable beds, good food. Poolside relaxing. Terrific bird and animal life. Sunimal organised pick up from Mirissa, and transport to Udawalawe. Very close to Bundala NP and 40 mins to Yala. Good spot for going to both Parks.

The staff were very attentive and helpful . They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Having the lake in the front was beautiful The treehouses were very cool The pool was great to cool down at the end of a hot day out in safari

Bring your binoculars because this property’s backyard is full of wildlife! Spotted many beautiful birds and even elephanths washing and playing in the afternoon.

I wish we could stay longer... Very beautiful place with lakeview and the pool is really nice. We saw a lot of birds, very big bats in the evening, a monitor lizard at the big accomodation garden en de trees where full with fireflies. The room is big with a huge comfortable bed and breakfast is great. Very good value for the money!

No hot water as they rely on solar and we had bad weather. Internet wifi would not work.

Great boutique place, our lake view room was clean and tidy with a nice view of the lake and pool. Restaurant food was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. We were able to book a Yala safari through the hotel.

NO Card Machine. Needed to get a tuk tuk to the ATM to pay for the safari and hotel. Really should have this mentioned - as a solo female traveller I’m reluctant to carry large amounts of cash

It's not worth booking the safari trip through the accomodation. The guide was nice and we saw some animals but he is also driving so you don't have someone talking any more than just pointing out animals. Despite the early pick up every jeep has to wait for the park to open at 6am. Wherever you are in line to get in, after 10minutes all the jeeps branch off anyway. For much cheaper you can book a safari direct through Yala national park.

Amazing pool area that looks over the beautiful lake and trees..had peacocks and monkeys around which was amazing. The staff were very nice..the treehouse villa was cool! Quite a few steps but worth is
