Wifi was not working properly in our room, as it was far from the reception (but it did not bother us).

We really enjoyed our stay at Lario. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Rita and Roshan, and the super friendly staff. They helped us book a tuk tuk for an early visit to Sigyria. Our room was big and nicely decorated. A/C worked well. And you can pay your stay by card! 100% recommended!

The room was not yet completed but it didn't matter to us. The area was a bit off and only thing you could do was to climb Lion Rock, which we did and it was truly amazing!!

This place was great! Super friendly and helpful staff, the owner even took us to the doctor him self when our boy needed help! The food was great. The staff also made new years games with us, so much fun!! The pool was amazing and clean.

Roshan and Rita where really nice Hosts. They organized a Driver for us to Guide us to several sights and to our next Destination. Rooms and Pool where really nice and Clean. It was awesome to chill in the Pool an watch the Monkeys play in the tree next to it. They offered a late Check Out for free and organized a babycod for our Baby - they are very childfriendly. The staff was really friendly and fast and the Breakfast was way to much for 2 persons to eat :)

Some big concrete pots with green plants to brighten up the place would be a great asset, and a bit of maintenance outside wouldn't do any harm, like a nice footpaths, gate etc. I would love duvets on the bed as an option, but it's because I love duvets.

It was a very quiet place, which we loved. They employ nice staff, who understand their job. Very nice owners as well. Great calamari, fantastic spaghetti bolognese, food was very good, including breakfast. We enjoyed the pool a lot. Great big rooms, I would only change curtains to grey to make it look more elegant. Good water pressure in the bathroom, AC working perfectly.

We only stayed for 1 night but wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was modern and very clean, the owners are lovely people and the staff are incredibly attentive. Great selection of food, a refreshing pool and you might even be lucky enough to see an elephant or two at night! All within a short tuk tuk ride to Lion rock.

Overall, nothing major. The floor in our room was stone, and the small carpets didn't have much grip to the floor. This is a slipping hazard, so we ended up putting them away. The pool's water quality could be improved. It tasted acidic when some got into my mouth. We hit a small snag while printing a receipt. Their computer system cannot address the receipt to anyone other than the person who made the booking. Manager did the best he could though.

About 5km from Sigiriya - not too far and not too close. Well ventilated buildings and good AC. Lots of trees for shading too. We requested thick blankets, which I assumed must be an unusual request for a tropical place like this. But they did their best to find us some. Very quiet at night and the beds are very comfy - our light-sleepers slept very well. Buffet lunch is pretty good; they also allowed us late checkout after lunch free of charge, which is greatly appreciated.

The outside areas - the parking, gardens and pool could definitely do with a refresh and an upgrade as they let the property down. More seating around the pool would be good also - there was just one sun lounger.

The hotel and room itself were clean and perfectly comfortable. The restaurant offered plenty of choice (food was good) and the staff were among the loveliest we’ve encountered so far - which is saying something given that almost everyone in Sri Lanka is lovely!

Comfortable, spacious and clean rooms with AC, open-hearted host team, generous and delicious breakfast and dinner, a great place just a little bit outside of some bigger towns, but perfect to start trips in the cultural triangle. Lovely place surrounded by nature, Rita and Roshan (the owners) are really hospitable, helpful and thoughtful. Spacious, clean and very fresh rooms. Excellent service and a good, plentiful breakfast. The pool is great, clean and super relaxing. The staff is helpful and nice. Basically the best hotel we went to in Sri Lanka.

Nothing whatsoever! Everything was perfect!!!!

I don't have enough words to describe how perfect our stay was in their beautiful place. Rita and Roshan are a mixed couple from Italy and Sri Lanka who brought their common love for hosting to create a beautiful hotel. You can very clearly see that they both grew up in families who did that. It's so natural for them that they don't make you feel like just customers but part of their family. I will start with their staff who are so kind and professional. They do their job so well. And I have to say this is the first place we have been in, in Sri Lanka, where the staff was treated so well and because of that they do their jobs with such passion. They took care of every single need of ours. They also offered to clean our room everyday. They played and took care of our daughter. They all speak good English and are always present everywhere. I can never thank them enough. I will now move on to the room and facilities. Our room was very big with everything you might need in including 2 terraces. It was super clean. The bedding was spotless. I have never seen whiter sheets. We had a water boiler with tea and coffee as well as water. There was also a fridge and a safe. The room smelled so nice and had a beautiful view from both sides. The bathroom was also very clean and had hot water and good shower pressure. The hotel itself makes you feel like you are in heaven. Roshan's love for trees and Rita's love for flowers got combined into creating an endless nature feeling. You can enjoy a swim in their pool surrounded with nature like an infinity pool. The pool was always clean. It's big and has an area for the little ones which was very good for our daughter. Their restaurant is also outside near a pond and again surrounded with all the nature. There is also a garden where our daughter could run around safely and happily while we enjoyed the best coffees. The food was AMAZING and that is coming from a foodie !!!

They are really welcoming and super customer service. I had special experience with them. We had incident while we were travelling to Sigiriya so we had to cancel booking that day but our booking conditions was cancel with full charges. Then we contacted the owner He was very helpful and understanding so we were able to cancel the booking free of charge. Finally we were able to visit Sigiriya next day after fixing everything then we made another booking with them so our experience was really good. we can recommend them. It’s good value for your money

The food was a let down and we had to wait far too long for dinner.

The rooms and bed in this resort were wonderful, with plenty of space, quiet and a great outlook. The bed was the best! The pool was wonderful also.
