Super nice family hosting this home stay. Listen to their recommendations about trips you can take, did the most awesome tea manufacturing and tasting tour because of them. Room was really nice. Breakfast is simple but good.

It's a small walk from the main/surfing part of the beach (15 min). But that just makes it super quiet at night, so we actually preferred this way.

We had a huge room/bungalow with a kitchen and fridge. Everything was super nice and clean with somewhat modern furniture. The owners were beyond nice and welcoming and cooked a great breakfast. Incredible value for money.

We really enjoyed the stay in this place and decided to stay longer then previewed. Vashita is a very caring host, warm and friendly, and you can feel that he really wants you to feel comfortable. He is even personalizing the breakfast according to your taste. The place is amazing: quiet and with a beautiful garden and close to the beaches. Whenever possible, I would love to come back for 3 reasons. Weligama is a very nice town, Lawrence Villa is the perfect place to stay and the owner Vashita is a lovely person. When remembering Sri Lanka, I will always think about this place and the lovely host.

It was a little bit out of the center of Weligama, but that’s something you choose for.

The host Vasitha and staff are very friendly and helpful. Vasitha even gave us a little tour (and lift) on his way to work:) The accommodation is spacious, clean and has everything you need. Breakfast is great and was different on both days we stayed - which was really nice!

Highly recommended. Beautiful place with large garden, suitable to retreat. Bungalow equipped with all amenities. Beach, restaurants, bars and shopping all within walking distance. Nice and helpful host.

Vasitha is an amazing host, super nice and welcoming. The staff are lovely, the room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious, they have good laundry services. The villa is quite and far from the town's noises. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back again 🥇

Lawrence Villa is of very good quality combined with a great location. The room is very big and you have a separate kitchen to prepare food in. The apartment is very quiet and perfect for someone who is looking for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was very delicious and big consisting of fresh fruit and tasty local dishes. The garden is very beautiful and relaxing with many different kind of trees, flowers and birds. I highly recommend this place and will stay here again when visiting Weligama.

Very calm villa next to the beach, fruit stall and great local restaurants. Huge room with air conditioning amd small kitchen, fridge. Amazing local homemade breakfast. Everything you could need for a short or a long stay. Lawrence is the best host I have met, he will organize you trips anywhere you want to go making it very simple for you. I plan to come back for the last days of my trip!

If you're choosing between this place and some others, take this one without thinking. It would be very comfortable for a long-term stay too. A big cozy (and quite) room with a kitchen and a nice view of the private garden

Everything about staying at Lawrence Villa was exceptional. Upon Arrival Lawrence and his wife, Surangie gave me the most warm welcome and brought tea and locally made cakes as a refreshment. Over the course of the next few days I was welcomed into the family with open arms. Lawrence and Surangie were the best hosts you could ask for. Lawrence showed me around his beautiful house built in a traditional Sri Lankan style by his grandfather. It is a fine example of a traditional Sri Lankan home built over a hundred years ago and is even complete with a wood stove made from baked earth, cooking implements in traditional clay pots can also be used if they chose to use them. Lawrence has an abundant range of bespoke tours that he has carefully curated and personalised for guests and they are all fascinating. Lawrence’s tours offer an insightful perspective of Sri Lanka and I enjoyed visiting the snake farm. Lawrence and Surangie’s enthusiasm for hosting guests is abundant and they both deliver a 5*+ experience that no hotel could ever surpass. The apartments are very high quality, spacious, fresh and spotlessly clean. I wished I had longer I would have loved to have stayed here for months on end. When I left the whole family waved to me from the steps of their wonderful home. I really felt like I had been staying with friends and this place is surely up there with the best in Sri Lanka that I encountered on my travels. I felt very lucky to have stayed here. My visit, the hospitality offered and the magnificent Sri Lankan breakfasts each morning were fit for a king. Staying at Lawrence Villa was a brilliant experience that I will remember for years to come and I hope to return again soon. You can really tell the hosts love what they do and endeavour to make sure you have a wonderful stay. They are genuinely great people.

I had a great stay at Lawrence Villa! The apartment was clean, spacious and at a very convenient location next to the beach and the town. Lawrence was extremely welcoming and helpful! It was great to get to know him, I wish I could have participated in the tours he offered, but I sadly couldn't make it this time. I'd love to come back and stay longer next time!

It would be great if the accommodation was marked. It is not easy to find.

Our host Lawrence very committed and makes everything possible. We felt welcome from the first moment we arrived. The room has a lot of space with a fridge and a small kitchen. The bathroom is clean as well as the rest of the room and high standard. Outside is a beautiful garden with many animals. We went to a couple of trips, which Lawrence organized for us and accompanied us, told us a lot about the country. Every morning we had an excellent breakfast, different everyday and a little chat with our host about our plans of the day and whether he can help us with something.

Our stay at Lawrence Villa was an amazing experience. Lawrence villa is a family run guesthouse. The rooms are in a beautiful garden with many trees. You can watch birds and squirrels from the balcony. Even black monkeys come to the garden from time to time (unfortunately we were not able to see some at our two nights stay). The rooms are very spacious, ours was even equipped with a huge fridge and a kitchenette. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean. The ac was working very well a mosquito net and cabinets are part of the room. There were so many little details in the room that just made us smile. It is not only the nice and clean rooms which makes this guesthouse exceptional. It’s the host and his family. You can really feel that Lawrence, the host, puts all his heart into it. Lawrence is a very open, interested in his guests and kindhearted person. We felt very welcomed at his accommodation. All the family members we have met were very kind and friendly people. He went on a Tour to Sinharaja Forest with us, which was an amazing experience. On the way back to Weligama we stopped at a beautiful temple and he explained a lot of Buddhist traditions. On the day of our departure Lawrence and his family made the most amazing breakfast for us you can imagine. He took the time to sit with us and explain all the delicious foods and how the are made or which health benefits the have and a lot more. Even though our trip through Sri Lanka is not over yet we are sure this was the best stay we will have had. Not only the rooms are very nice but connecting with Lawrence made it so special. This was very unique for us. Thank you Lawrence! When we come to Sri Lanka again we definitely want stay at your place again. 100% recommended!
