We had a little cockroach problem during our stay. The owner mentioned the room was just recently opened for guests. The family tried to help and promised to solve the issue as soon as possible after our stay. Also, in the final bill there was a small mistake. My gf and I solved it by paying the surplus as a tip. When organising a taxi we would recommend to check for other offers for comparison as the drivers organised by the owner are sometimes overpriced.

The safari was well organized by the owner and the guide was not pushy in any kind of way and did not try to sell any unnecessary add ons to us. The family is very open and friendly, we were warmly welcomed with a drink. In general, they are very caring. Drinking water is for free and after a long day in the heat, they served us an electrolyte drink. When we were walking around searching the nearby cafes for a king coconut, the owner's mother asked, what we were searching for. When telling her, the family surprised us with two king coconuts later that day. The owner's mother is also an excellent cook, we can recommend her rice and curry! Another big plus of course is the cuddly family dog Shane! At the end of our stay when leaving, the family gathered to wave goodbye, which was a cute gesture!

Clean and comfortable room, the family are all lovely and the home cooked curry was delicious. We booked a safari with them and their guide was very knowledgable about all the wildlife and was a great spotter for all the animals especially the rare birds!

We had an amazing time at Leisure House Safari! The couple room was incredibly comfortable, and the safari services provided by the hotel were excellent. The knowledgeable guides made the experience truly special as we spotted numerous elephants and other incredible animals. The owner, Shanaka, was extremely helpful and kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. And we can't forget to mention the delicious meals prepared by the owner's mom - they were absolutely tasty. The owner is very helpful. The place is beautiful very cozy and in excellent location. The food is the best one we tried in Sri Lanka. We took the Safari with the owner and was the best experience. The rooms very clean and with all the necessary thing. Super recommended

Incredible kindness and service from Shanaka (host) and his family. He organized a shuttle for us from Tangalle to this lovely venue. He also organized an absolut amazing private safari tour for us, including a super friendly driver who explained and showed us a lot of the Udalawawe National Park. We did the 6 hours tour inclusive delicious selfmade breakfast. Afterwards he organized a shuttle from the Leisure House Safari to Ella for us. Thank you so much for this nice experience!

The place was really good and this is a place i can recommend any one to stay and enjoy who comes to udawalawe. The room was very clean and the bathroom too.we stayed two days and the food was arranged by shanaka the host, and the food was really very very tasty and the perfect food i ever had in srilanka and food was home made, cooked by shana 's (host's) mom . The Safari was arranged by the hotel and it was worth more than the payment. We saw lots of kinds of animals birds etc.... specially elephants. We enjoyed the safari very well and the safari driver was also very friendly and he has a very good knowledge about the national park and the about the animals habitats. He explained us every thing which was our questions. The location is perfect.there are supermarkets banks atms every thing nearby. I write this review to special thank for Shana who was the host because he was very helpfull and friendly and helped us in every thing in udawalwe even to find a taxi to tangalle. I recommend leisure house safari bungalow as a perfect place to spend your leisure time in udawalwe. Thankyou Shana ❤️😊

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Food was perfect and homemade by host's mother.The location was very good and the safari was arranged by the host and it was absolutely woderfull,worth more than money.the safari driver was also very friendly and we saw lot's of animals. Morning is the best time for a safari. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting udawalawa. Thankyou again " leisure house " for your grate hospitality.
