The bed had a squeak which was quite loud in the night. The location was about 20mins outside of the centre which we didn’t realise but actually so easy to get a tuktuk on uber for about 800lkr.

Dominic and Victor at Leo’s home stay are such incredible people!!! They were so helpful, kind and lovely to speak too. Our uber cancelled at 4.30AM and Dominic was available to help us get everything sorted. The room was a great size with lovely high ceilings. The mosquito net in the room is the best we’ve seen, it folded down from the wall and was corded at the bottom making it tight. The venue was great, they had a full equipped kitchen that was available for full use. Including pre filtered water ready to drink!! Great advice of where to go for dinner and generally so so helpful!

Nice big and spacious room Very clean Just in front of the beach and nice restaurants, as well as the diving centre if you're interested in. Free coffee and tea and filtered water I appreciated so much Ethan, the Russian guy at the reception, very kind and helpful. :)

Very nice clean place with good bathroom. Close to beach, just cross the train tracks and you’re there. Nice beach restaurants close on walking distance. Outside busy part of Colombo. Would surely recommend this place, Dominique and his assistants did a great job.

Many mosquitos in the room. We were not able to get rid off them all as the ceiling of the room is very high. Bit far from the center of Colombo. You can take a bus to the Pettah busstation (50LKR).

Spacious and clean room with AC. Towels and filtered water were provided. You can make (free) tea or coffee in the kitchen. Very relaxed atmosphere in the house eventhough you see some members of the family walking around in the house doing their things. Great place to stay just outside of the city center, in the neighborhood of Dehiwala. The long distance bus from Mirissa/Southcoast to Colombo stops at the junction. You can tell the guy to stop there and after that it's about a 7 min walk to the homestay. The busstop to take the bus to the city center is about 7min walking distance.

I couldn’t figure out how to get hot water to shower. Cold water wasn’t a bad idea since the weather is tropical. But if you must have hot water to shower you might want to ask them before booking.

Not something i didnt like but just for fyi its not the right place for a noisy group of friends, as the place has a more peaceful and quiet vibe.

Leo's home stay is extremely clean and well maintained with all amenities and polite staff.

This comfortable homestay is truly a home away from home. Situated a few meters away from the beautiful long stretch of beach and within walking distance to the busy streets lined with shops and restaurants, made my stay very convenient. Everything worked, the bed was very comfortable and the room clean and neat. The use of a communal kitchen made preparing breakfast and other meals very convenient. James, AKA 007, can littery make any wish come true. He was an exceptional host, kind patient and extremely helpful. Throughout my entire Sri Lankan trip he kept in touch to see if I needed assistance with anything. This was a very touching experience. The owner was also very helpful and even bought airtime for me. This homestay is great value for money. I will definitely be back. Thank you for making my trip an an amazing experience.

Water pressure was a little low in the shower and the food we ordered was a bit bland.

The property was very well maintained. The bed and pillows were really comfy! Soft and clean sheets. Hot water in the bathroom. AC and fan in the bedroom. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Ideal place to stay at if you are looking for the comfort of a home and love the beach. You can access the local train since its literally a 5mins walk and the beach is right across the road.

Great value for money! James from reception is so friendly , a genuine person, he was super helpful, he gave me recommendations and tips regarding transportation, food and other stuff! The room was clean and a comfortable bed! I stayed only one night as I was going to Jaffna from Wellawata bus station, and the place is close by. I was allowed to do a late check out which was convenient for me. Easy to get to City centre by public or taxi.
