    Nothing.

It's a fantastically designed property for the location and the safari was made more enjoyable by the fact that we were staying at this property. The staff member who showed us the property also provided us with meals - he was fantastic. The host communication was also good and made me feel at ease that we would enjoy the safari booked via the host.

Best place to stay for a trip to Wilpattu and enjoy nature

There are a couple of small things that could be fixed easily like ripped and stained sheets, a bedside table on both sides and lamps next to the bed because the light switch is outside the bedroom. Don't expect all the crawlers to stay outside because you're surrounded by glass in the villa. It's in the middle of nature obviously, but insect screens in front of the bathroom windows might at least keep the many mosquitoes out that are awaiting you once you get out of the shower.

Huge villa sitting all on its own with great views on the paddy fields to observe animals (peacocks, otters, monkeys...) and relax. Perfect wifi connection and good water pressure. The caretaker and his wife live close by and were super helpful. We spent two nights there and had a wonderful BBQ prepared at our villa for dinner. Breakfast was kindly prepped for our safari (Trust their recommendation for the driver/guide! He was amazing and super patient, searching for every animal we wanted to see tirelessly.) and our day of departure to take away.

Berries falling on roof overnight was a little bit of a nuisance but am sure this is seasonal. Earplugs for the light sleeper. We organised safari with them which was great experience but too expensive for jeep. Would be great if they could supply written information pack.

Was a huge open living space incorporating kitchen and lounge area and, a lovely deck, downstairs and up. Lots of wildlife and elephants definitely go about. The food was home cooked and excellent.

Downstairs no ac, bugs fell of the roof

Out standing view, look much better than their own pictures, decent bedroom with two beds up stairs, even 2 bathroom one up one down. Great for family stay. They say elephant will walk pass the field in front the window, if it is, they will let us wake up and use flashlight to spot them, we missed them, but still exciting. Due to bad weather we had electricity problems but the staff helped a lot to use the generator supply the whole house.

Just a little thing: The air conditioner did not work on the lower floor. We opened the window upstairs and kept it cool downstairs... Everything was great.

From the first contact with the owner Mr. Kamal, until arriving at the accommodation where we were met by the manager Manju and his wife - absolutely everything was perfect. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the accommodation. The lady cooks deliciously and to order. We went with Manju on a full-day safari. There is 10 minutes to drive at the entrance of NP Wilpattu. At night, local farmers chase the elephants out of the rice fields. It's noisy, exciting and a great experience for us tourists (I believe it's not for the locals, I feel for them). Amazingly, tap water is drinkable!!!! The owner orders a tank of drinking water in the tank, which is additionally filtered! Congratulations! We regularly consumed tap water (for 3 days) without the slightest problem! Like at home :) If it were possible, I would give a score of 11 and not 10*. We are not backpackers and I would absolutely choose the accommodation again! Do not hesitate to choose this accomodation.

The listing states there’s a kitchen but you’re not allowed to cook. There’s also no bath, unlike stated. The bedsheets and overall house were dirty. The house tried to scam us and followed us with his scooter while we were leaving. I’m frankly appalled.

    If i could, i’d give a 0/10
