These are really tiny disadvantages that didn’t bothered much, but: It would be nice for a hotel to have an electric generator to produce energy during power-cut. We didn’t understand why avo toast wasn’t served during breakfast, although it was in the menu. They told because the avo season is over, but all the restaurants in Weligama were serving it)) Meanwhile they served it to people who had no included breakfast and paid for it. That was a bit disappointing… And also the price for surfboards is 2 times more expensive than on the beach with only soft boards available, no short or long hard boards.

Everything was great! Location is very convenient, you can walk barefoot to the ocean. Hotel is cozy, clean, safe and stylish. All the guys working in the hotel are nice and welcoming. Breakfast is really delicious and coffee is amazing! We had a room on the 2nd floor with the best ocean view. The room is pretty with a comfy bed and nice interior.

I spent one week at Lucky’s surf camp with my boyfriend after another week in another surf camp of Weligama and I wish I spent all my vacation at Lucky’s instead. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in such a nice, clean structure full of lovely people who work there. From the guys at the reception to the amazing service at the aftersurf restaurant from K3, the nicest waiter, and a lovely and young hard work team. A special mention for the surf instructor, Mendis, which tought me and my boyfriend a lot of useful tips for improving my surf skills and helped my boyfriend start his first steps into surfing. We both felt we were part of a family all the time and wish to come back soon.

Only thing which was a downside is the fact that rooms dont have drinkable water but that can easily be solved by buying a water bottle or going to the roof top bar for a refill if you have your own bottle.

Loved it, such a comfortable stay! Rooms were clean and super nice, and felt so safe as a female solo traveller. The staff was also so helpful and kind.

We are not surfers but the hotel is in the middle of quite a long and boring beach if you do not want to learn to surf. Not much else around, though we did try and fish in the river estuary c 1 mile down the beach which was picturesque

Lucky's surf camp is an amazing place to spend some nights and take some surf lessons. The amazing after-surf rooftop is also home to an excellent restaurant. The food is just fantastic - from breakfast to dinner! The staff is very friendly. Super nice view of the beach that is only a few hundred meters away. Very nice rooms! Overall, I seriously recommend staying at Lucky's surf camp!

Best roof top bar and cafe with the best view in Weligama! Perfect for a delicious breakfast and also fabulous cocktails - overlooking the ocean and the sunset. Heaven!

Don't have anything bad to say really.. compared to other camps there are no real social activities and not many people but if you're not going in particular to meet new people, there is nothing bad to say.

The food was much much better than in the other places around, all staff are super friendly (special shoutout to K3? I hope I remember correctly) and the instructor could not have been better (also special shoutout to Lahir? I hope remember correctly). 10/10 for us in every aspect.

Overall a very nice location directly on the beach in Weligama The breakfast was amazing And if you want you can book surf lessons as well (~9.500 each) or rent a board as well (1000 per hour) You can pay by card if you want to but they will charge a little transaction fee. If you want to go to Mirissa you can take a Tuktuk 10mins drive

When you come back at a place withing your 2 week holiday it must be special. And this is place is special, everybody is friendly and makes time for a conversation. They make you feel at home. The breakfast is outstanding and so is the view of the rooftop restaurant where you consume it. Also the lunch and dinner options are very good - so are the cocktails and beers :). The place is manager by surfers for surfers so if you look for surf lessons during your stay this is the perfect place. Very flexible with there schedule and very patience and skillfull teachers. They can halo you when you strart with surfing and when you are a bit more experienced. My girlfriend and I highly recommend this place!

One slight improvement might be to lock the storage room. It is right next to the checkin desk which is often unattended. Might be better to have a bag tag system as well to prove whose bag is who’s.

Spacious rooms and very clean and comfortable. Quick access to the beach down the side road. Have surf lessons and surf boards available at very good price. After sun cafe on the roof is top notch. All the food, drinks and atmosphere is spot on. Most enjoyable place we stay during our 3 week trip.
