Such a lovely and friendly family. Very welcoming and helpful. Location is perfect because it’s near the beach and the Main Street, but also nice and quiet. The room was very clean with a nice bathroom.

Could have been a bit cleaner, the fridge looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks but we only used it to store bottles of water so we didn’t mind too much. We stayed 4 nights and we didn’t have any housekeeping for those days and the room could have definitely done with a sweep and empty of bins a couple of times, but it looked like there was only one lady doing all the work here and she had about 10 rooms so she was worked off her feet, so not the end of the world!

We stayed in the family room which had two double beds as we were a party of 3 adults and it was spacious and comfy. We also had a fridge which was very handy! The shower was fine but we couldn’t get the hottest water but that was okay for us. Breakfast was good you just had to let them know the night before what time you wanted it. Greta location to the main road and beach, just off the main street so it was very quiet at night. Great value for money.

Breakfast was poor, especially compared to other places we've visited before. Very basic and nothing really freshly made,, just toasts, butter, jam etc.

The place is amazing and so are their hosts. The husband, wife and the whole family is very jovial and always ready to assist. They portray the real spirit of Sri Lankan hospitality. Theirs is a very under rated property which deserves to be highlighted for its cleanliness which was at par with any high end hotel. The facilities in the room like AC, fridge, tea/coffee maker, hair dryer were all in a great condition and not generally expected from a guest house and yet they were placed prominently. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room and the bathroom was huge. This is not just value for money but they exceed in every aspect. I wish them all the best.

The bathroom doesn't have ventilation or a window. So it was very warm and humid inside.

The breakfast was delicious and filling. The host was super nice and helpful and Location was great. Close to the beach, centre and bus stop.

Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka🙌🏽 we felt like we were in a luxury hotel ~ the room was spacious, clean & had everything we needed from cupboard space, a fridge, hairdryer etc. Each room had an area right outside their room with a table, chairs a fan & windows which we personally loved. This is where we were served our delicious breakfast each morning, at a time we were able to choose. The property is a 3 minute walk to Mirissa beach & 3 minute walk the other way to the Main Street. Pretty perfect location Best of all the host family are the most beautiful people. They invited us to an extended family meal & we were blown away by the kindness. Will definitely be back & hope to stay for longer than 5 nights next time

The only negatives would be the bed was quite creaky, and the lock of the door to the en-suite bathroom was a little temperamental - but that’s it!

The location was absolutely perfect and the place was very clean and tidy. The room had air conditioning and a fan which both worked perfectly, the room was lovely and cool. My favourite part was our host, she was the most friendly and kind person ever! It was such such good value for money as well. We were also able to come and go as we pleased, which was helpful - and were able to leave our bags for the day after we had checked out which was so helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Maduranga n Guest! We were supposed to stay 3 nights and we stayed 8! The hosts are such a beautiful, kind family and we felt so at home there. The location is perfect, facilities are excellent and the breakfast is just what you’d need

The room was spacious, clean, had a fridge and kettle, mosquito net, UK plugs, a fan and good working AC. The mother and daughter who run the guest house are very kind and they will do whatever they can to make the stay comfortable. Very close to the beach and close to the main road where you can go to different restaurants and a supermarket. Best stay in Sri Lanka :)

It was quite loud in the morning and during the day, because of their kids playing. (I understand it's a homestay, but I think it's worth mentioning). The blankets provided are tiny. I would wish for a larger blanket, so it can actually cover your body.

The room is clean and comfy, with a nice bed an a good AC. The staff was very kind and allowed us to stay one hour longer, which we appreciated very much. The location is great, close to the beach and on a calm street. Next to the hotel is an absolutely amazing Yoga place every day at 10am. We loved the Yoga. The breakfast was fine, nothing special.
