It was an amazing stay! Sachith and his wife were beyond kind host. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was so enjoyable to take a shower outside. For diner, homemade diner was a plus! The dog is also part the experience, that kindest dog ever. Our host arranged everything for our safari and our guide was great, helped us discover the Udawalawe park and its many elephants among other animals. Unforgettable stay and experience! Loved it! The owners were very attentive and helpful. The dinner and breakfast consisted of a variety of dishes and were delicious. The individual cabins were large with a contained outdoor bathroom and small balcony. The property by nature is remote so bring your own entertainment for your down time.

It would have been good to know in advance that if you would like to pay in card you need to pay an extra 3%. We would have brought cash to pay.

Just be careful of the bugs in the outdoor bathroom, especially at night!

Stunning hut only a short drive from the national park (which the hosts will happily organise a safari for you to visit). Outdoor bathroom is a particular highlight. The food was also incredible - some of our favourite. Pool only down the road as well for a small fee.

We loved this place. The cottages were so cute and comfortable. I especially loved the indoor/outdoor shower. the cottage was decorated nicely and had some pamphlets highlighting nature, culture, etc of Sri Lanka. Both breakfast and dinner here was amazing as were the owner/hosts. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend! We had a delightful stay at Mango Tree House! The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and calm. The service was not only excellent but also friendly. The entire hotel is impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely amazing. Looking forward to my next visit!

The rooms were amazing - so spacious and comfortable and clean. The outdoor shower is a real treat! The aircon was the best and quietest we’d had in Sri Lanka which meant we could actually sleep without earplugs! The hosts are so lovely and sorted everything we needed - the safari, breakfast on safari, binoculars to take with us and taxis to our next destination. We were greeted with welcome drinks and cakes on arrival and the same when we came back from safari. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner one night which was one of our favourite meals of our whole trip. Plus we loved Shane the Labrador’s cuddles! Honestly cannot recommend this place enough.

Everything was great. Amazing rooms, huge bed very confortable, I liked the outside bathroom and the quiet location. Breakfast is good with local products. Staff is very friendly and helping a lot in sorting things like taxi and safari. I would definitely recommend this place for a trip to Udawalawa.

Amazing hosts who looked after us so well from arranging our safari, cooking us lunch on our arrival and of course providing an incredible dinner and breakfast. The rooms are beautiful and the outdoor showers a huge bonus factor.

It is a little remote so you would need a driver or tuk tuk which the owners can also arrange.

It was a beautiful setting with just three small chalets that were well equipped. The food for breakfast and dinner was home cooked and delicious! The property is run by a married couple (and their dog!) which makes it feel homely and an authentic Sri Lankan experience. Great place for a few nights while staying the area and doing the safari.

Loved it all! One of the best acommodations on my trip to Sri Lanka. The location itself is great - not far away from the village center, but still in nice, quiet local road where you can meet lots of friendly local people. The garden in Mango tree house is very beautiful and very well kept! The cottages are super clean, very spacious and beautiful. Loved the waterfall shower in bathroom! The owner family is very friendly and welcoming. You can feel very relaxed there as they help in everything needed. I got my rides organized by the owners which saved my time a lot. Also their dinner was great, one of the best local meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Even if they dont have pool, there is one at really near by hotel that the owner directed me to enjoy refreshing swim on a hot day. You only pay small fee to enter the pool. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night at Mango Tree House and it was amazing. Sachith and his wife were incredible hosts. We had dinner when we arrive which was delicious, the most delightful hoppers served with dahl and other curries and dishes. We did a sunrise safari and they made us breakfast when we returned which was also incredible. The room was lovely, comfortable, very clean and had the most gorgeous outdoor bathroom. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Udawalawe.
