The extraordinary location was topped by the service and the presence of Chamal Galappaththi and his cool crew. I felt super convenient, and delighted by the food is was able to eat. The quality of prawns and fish as well as the regional ingredients was amazing! Best of the. best! LOVE IT!

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay that exceeded our expectations. We were a little anxious about the temperature at night but the evenings were nice and cool and we both slept well. The breakfasts (Sri Lankan) were delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately you cannot swim in the sea directly in front of the rooms but it was only a short walk to the swimming spot. We saw a lot of people complaining about the toilet/bathroom being underneath the room but we never found this to be an issue at all.

One thing that would be really great is the addition of a very small fridge in the room if possible, to allow guests to keep waters cold (given how hot it gets during the days here)

Incredible location, right on the amazing beach (though note that you can't swim directly in front of the hotel). Staff all exceptional, particularly Chamal who was attentive and helpful throughout my stay, so huge thanks. Drinks and food also very good - particularly loved the coconut lassi and the fresh fruit juices. The highlight is its proximity to the best spots on the beach to watch turtles laying their eggs at night, a truly magnificent sight and one not to miss in Tangalle. If you can get past the lack of swimming pool it is an ideal place to stay and unwind in Sri Lanka.

Great little cottages, breezy so not too hot without AC, okay breakfast (classical Sri lankan continental type), amazing beach (unswimmable though), very quiet (except crashing waves). It's the last resort before "empty quarters". Very kind staff.

Situated on an almost empty Kilometer long beach. It’s almost unbelievable. You can even watch turtles. nice and clean cabanas (no windowglass!) and awesome staff!

The smell! At night we got this awful smell from the "lagoon" nearby which smelled more like a sewer... Not much they can do about it but I must say it was annoying. Food was slightly pricey They don't take card

The view from the restaurant is amazing! We got the garden view bungalow so we didn't have the beach view but the other ones seemed great! Our accommodation was big enough, clean and nice. Staff was incredibly helpful: I forgot my bag with our passports 2 hours from there and they helped us arrange a tuktuk to pick it up. We needed an extra bed for our daughter and they brought a small bed right away. They were always super friendly and attentive. Food was nice but portions were not huge. Overall a fantastic place!

The hut (being what it is) easily allows animals in (dont keep food inside), we had a dangerously looking spider in our bed - be aware of such possibilities. The entrance to the bathroom (hatch in the floor) a bit uncomfortable but not a big deal. Portions in the restaurant were surprisingly small (like a children meal) but we only ate there once.

Staying there feels just amazing. You can see the beach and the sea from your bed, it takes 30 seconds to get to the water. The beach was one of the nicest we've seen in Sri Lanka topped probably only by Silent Beach which is nearby). Hut is beautiful, bathroom spacious and comfortable. Sunbeds available, shower on the beach, hose to wash sand off your legs near the entrance to the hut. Restaurant - great atmosphere especially during sunset and night, pretty good drinks, prices are ok. Helpful staff.

We checked in for five nights and ended up staying two weeks as we loved it so much. We loved our cabana which was simple but very clean and comfortable and opened directly on to the beach. The beach was absolutely stunning, and empty most of the time. The sea directly in front of the cabanas was too rough for less confident swimmers, but there was safe swimming just five minutes walk up the beach. The food in the restaurant was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan dishes. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help with everything we needed.

Bungalows are not fully closed and morning light can disturb. Bathroom in the basement can be a little tricky and...dangerous if left open.

Beautiful and well kept cabanas, perfectly located on a gorgeous stretch of beach. The wooden cabanas had just been renovated before our arrival and were in very good condition, looking super clean and fresh, with spotless bathroom. The quiet location under the palm trees right at the beach definitely contributes to the paradise feeling. The included breakfast was copulent and very tasty. The atmospheric restaurant serves delicious food for lunch and dinner too, with eg. fresh fish and prawns, or good Sri Lankan curries. Service is very friendly and attentive. We've enjoyed every minute of our stay and regretted we had to leave. No doubt our favorite place to stay during our holiday. Highly recommendable!

The cabana itself is tiny; there was barely any space for us to open our luggage. Also, the bathroom is in a basement accessible via a trap door from inside the cabana... I'd be surprised if noone has got seriously hurt from falling through it, it's that dangerous. Staff weren't super friendly (although this could be because of not great English).

Cute cabana right by the beach. Beach towels were provided and the beach itself was nice (long). Breakfast was good (with a choice of western - eggs in various ways) and there was a good amount of choice for dinner.

It looks like i'm the only one who wasn't happy with the location . Yes, the beach is beautiful, but you can't swim or even play in the water because the waves are way too strong. So basically, is there just for you to look at it. As an active person, I feel very bored after two days . There is nothing there to do except walking up and down the beach or lying down and reading your book. The bathroom is in the basement , and you have to wait the longest time for hot water.
