The room was not sound proofed which meant you heard all the sounds of nature at night which was hard to drown out. It would have been better to have duvets in the room instead of bed sheets as a covering, as I had to keep waking up at night to control the Air Con.

The owners of the property were amazing and very accommodating. Even though there was a mix up with our check in dates, they were able to get our room ready for us in 10 minutes! The room itself was a very generous size and clean. The sri lankan reakfast provided was great and could not recommend it more.

Make sure to communicate your food preferences beforehand. We’re vegetarians and couldn’t eat the dinner unfortunately. You need to communicate with the manager via phone or text, as he not at the location. The very friendly staff can not speak English.

The staff is so so friendly. They try their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We had a really spacious room in a nice quiet area.

All was excellent . We loved the family who looked after us while we stayed. They cooked for us every evening with the best food we have eaten while in Sri Lanka ! Delicious! The breakfasts too were delicious with lots of variety! The room was spacious and had great aircon and was extremely clean. The family organised tuk tuk drivers and safari jeeps too. The lodge is a little out of town but so quiet away from the noise of Habarana, we were so happy there.

The place is let down by attention to smaller details. Tea making facilities provided but just 1 tea bag for a 3 nights stay. No Shampoo or shower gel. No hairdryer No fridge/mini bar or TV though the listing says they are provided. Despite such a large room there was nowhere to sit apart from on the bed or outside. It could easily accommodate a couple of chairs.

Good accommodation set in a nice peaceful garden. Excellent breakfast which varies daily. Owners are friendly and attentive. Good shower and hot water. The room was enormous and has very good lighting.

A bit of a walk into town

We had a lovely stay at at Manike lodge ! The rooms were spotless and the ac worked perfectly. The rooms were also very big with room to make yourself at home. What we loved most was the kind host family, they were so helpful and sweet to us. Also the breakfast was amazing. My boyfriend is a big guy and he ate very well and was never hungry. Absolutely would stay here again if we ever return and would recommend staying here to my friends and family

There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

The lovely chocolatecakes we had when we arrived on our bicycles😁. The family was very helpful in organizing things for us like a safari and a tuktukdriver for a day who drove us to Dambulla, Pidurangala Rock and to our organic cooking class in Sigiriya (which we found on reisjunk).. Manike Lodge Is a very quiet place, which we loved very much.

It was a very nice stay with super nice and helpfull hosts. Breakfast was excellent (delicious pancakes) and its near to the most important places in Sri Lanka. I recommend staying there during your trip.

Very spacious and large room, super friendly owner, plentiful breakfast, parking available. Overall for the price paid it was a great stay and would happily go back. It is a bit away from the main road so it's very quiet and peaceful.

The location is a bit more remote (15-20 min walk or a short TukTuk ride from Habarana main road) - we didn’t mind at all, but it’s good to know ;)

The property is amazing with a beautiful garden. It is very quiet and calm, the room was big with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! The owners were really nice and accommodating - even arranged a late breakfast for us after we returned from a hike :)

Really clean and spacious room with a patio and garden view. Hosts were friendly, and were generous with their time - helping us to book tours and transport to Kandy. The breakfast was delicious, and we also enjoyed a huge dinner which they made at short notice. The location is out of the main area of town, but is only a short tuk tuk ride which the hosts can help to book.

Very pleasant staying. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The staff was extremely helpful, they helped us finding how to reach Negombo by calling the railway office and they arranged us a tuk-tuk for the train station.

Manike Lodge is a very nice residence, situated a bit far off in the woods, therefore nice and quiet at night. The apartment house is placed in a very nice garden. The rooms are very big, the beds are good, the balcony very nice. Everything was very clean and neat. The breakfast was very nice, we’ve got everything we needed from tea to toast, pancakes and fruit! The residence owner is super friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed our say very much!
