There really is nothing to say here, we thought it was amazing and everything was immaculate.

We had the best stay here, it was immaculately cean and maintained to a very high standard with really comfy beds, gorgeous soft bedding, brilliant A/C and toiletries included. There is also bottle water supplied for the guests and the owner is really friendly and helpful. We did a safari through Max and it was amazing. We had evening meal included and it was the nicest meal we had, plenty of food and really delicious freshly cooked ingredients.

Max and the team looked after us very well with delicious food, arranging our transfers and made our reservation at a great local restaurant upon our arrival. The safari itself was superb, with Max advising the best time to go, supplying a great driver and of course arranging every detail including our packed lunch. Highly recommended.

Max was a great host! He arranged two safaris for us and our guide was so nice and friendly, knowledgeable and respectful with the animals. We saw so many elephants 😍 The dinner and breakfast prepared by Max’s mum were the best we had during our whole trip. Amazing value for money - would absolutely recommend to stay here and also book the safari via Max.

Max was super helpful and welcoming. He sorted everything out for me as soon as I arrived. We had a family buffet dinner which was amazing and breakfast in the morning after the safari was great too! Perfect little stay.

Max was very nice and helpful with information. He arranged for good and cheap transport both to and from his place. We also went on safari from Max and it was also both good and cheap. The rooms are large and clean with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. We can definitely recommend

Nothing - this is a really great stay with an honest and kind host.

Max truly cares about you. He helped us arrange a taxi for a good fare, gave us a lunch recommendation, helped us with info about safaris and the elephant transit home, and was very attentive to anything we needed. The room was really spacious, spotless and everything worked very well (shower, AC, etc). He has water available for sale & tea and coffee is provided. Breakfast was really nice and his dinner curry buffet was great. We didn’t use his safari service but wish we would have! Ours had a more basic breakfast and based on what other guests said, a less knowledgeable driver. Thank you Max!!

Perfect size rooms, fan, and AC. Max and his family were very welcoming and kind. The food was also really good. We ate there both nights we stayed. The location is ideal for the Udawalawe National park.

Max was a lovely host and the room was perfect! Udawalawe is an area full with questionable accommodations at very cheap prices. After reading many reviews I chose Max’s place and I’m very happy about it. The room was very clean and we had great conversations with Max. We did not use his safari package and he was nice and understanding about it. I would likely opt to use him next time though, because he said he also had binoculars available and was happy to find ways to make the safari experience more affordable for you and sustainable by pairing you with other guests if you’d like. I also had to pay a visit to the doctor and Max was very helpful in that bringing me to one. Thanks so much for the great stay Max!

We were in Udawalawe for just one night after the Safari, and couldn't recommend this place more! Max is the coolest and nicest host, he really cares. The room was very spacious and clean. Great position and Max also organizes Safaris. 10/10 recommended.

Excellent value accommodation. Comfortable room with lovely siting out area. Ideally place to visit the elephant arphanage and do the safari. Lovely owners, very welcoming. Fabulous evening meal and breakfast. We would recommend and we would stay there again.

Max is good and very friendly person. Villa is clean and perfect to relax. Max offers good price taxi and safari service. We highly recommend Safari driver from Max, he made the experience very safe and respectful to wildlife. He was amazing at spotting animals and we saw so many of them. In Udawalawa there is also opportunity to see feeding of elephants in local orphanage.
