In the evening no hot water facility and no WiFi facility even though we have requested several times such facilities were not provided. We reserved the hotel through booking.com and agreed LKR 19xxxx something but the hotel charged 20XXX .

The breakfast buffet was not as great as expected; very basic with few options for pescatarians/ vegetarians.

The staff at Miridiya was very attentive and helpful with our requests; we needed ground-floor rooms (due to mobility reasons), an extra half-day stay and a last-minute request for a vehicle -- everything was provided without any hassle. The room-service menu was good (standard Sri Lankan Chinese food, 'western' meals, good portion sizes). Would recommend meals from the room-service menu.

The outdoor bathroom was a problem at night because this area has mosquitos. Traders were occasionally allowed on the grounds and the man with a performing monkey should not have been encouraged.

Breakfast was good. The location was excellent. The birds and monkeys in the garden were interesting. The mature trees were lovely. The pool was good and the staff were cheerful and helpful.

There was a private open garden party with loud music which disturbed the sleep but music was stopped after 10pm. The room opens directly to the garden hindering privacy to some extent

My favorite location was the upstairs balcony facing to swimming pool. Unfortunately not allowing me to stay there a minute even by flyer call " Lake fliers" . That fly hurts a lot and I never see management has taken any of convenience solutions for guests.

Swimming pool was closed for maintenance

Nice location Rooms have fantastic views. Friendly staff and tasty food. For the first time I saw a lady chef in the restaurant. That is so awesome and she was great. Staff was very friendly with our kids.
