The restaurant could have opened earlier and a small convenience store would have been handy given the location of the hotel.

When we checked in there was a bad smell in the room which was fixed the next day by the hotel. Sometimes the food was cold and the next time we ordered to the room the food was wrong. After sometime the correct food was delivered. Someday they had buffet breakfast and buffet dinner, which was not communicated in advance to us. We wanted to eat in the room for breakfast but unfortunately it was not possible. The pool was really cold and needs a proper cleaning.

The room we booked had a pretty amazing view, the food was okay and staff were really helpful.

We had an extremely difficult time communicating with staff. We had already been traveling throughout the area for the past several weeks, so this was beyond simply a language barrier. Staff would nod, agree, and repeat requests back to us, and yet no action would be taken. This happened many times and it was frustrating. We paid extra to stay here as this was our last night in Sri Lanka and was really looking forward to this experience. The hotel could be completely 5 star if the service could match the property.

It is a beautiful property with absolutely stunning views from every angle - room, restaurant, pool. The rooms are lovely; clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also top notch with several items to choose from.

The road to the hotel needs extensive work it was unnerving. We did not go out at night because we were not comfortable with the road. Happy hour signs misleading this was discussed so hopefully will be rectified.

The key card wouldn’t work and the staff tried to fix it but failed each time. It took me 10 minutes each time to get into my room. The shower didn’t work properly. Also, the staff were a bit rude and inappropriate, especially one who works downstairs in the restaurant area. I personally would stay there again.

The service was a little bit slow on the first day, probably because we came after 7 pm, but anyway, we expected to be better perpetrated to greet guests. There were no hot water. The day after they managed to fix it. The food needs significant improvement.

Second day we had buffet breakfast - it definitely did not have the quality of the breakfast we had the first day and they asked us to wait with ordening eggs as they first wanted to help a big group. But that would mean waiting for 45 minutes… we felt a little obligated to do this (we did not in the end). Also the juice was not fresh which i would expectations If i pay this amount of money Also when we arrived from a tiring day we had to wait more than half am hour at the check in as they were experiencing Some issues with their system, no communication or what so ever…

The view is superb - dinner is also very nice although it was quite little the first night (fish and Some Fries is quite a light meal, at least add Some more fries)

It is a bit far from the town centre so you have to get a tuk tuk to places. There were lizards getting into our room from a gap in the wall. Reception closes at 10pm. When contacting after 10pm it’s a WhatsApp number. I contacted them at 10.10pm about removing the lizards but no one came, I could not find anyone around the hotel to help either. Then reception rang the room at 6.15am and woke me up asking about the lizards. Miscommunication issue but was a bit frustrating.

The hotel is a bit further away from the centre but we knew that before we booked, it wasn’t a massive issue for us as we had a driver.
