Even though we only stayed at Mount Haven for one night we absolutely loved it. The room was massive and sparkling clean with views over the town in every direction. The couple in charge of the house are absolutely lovely and they even wraped our breakfast for our early check out and the train journey. We absolutely recommend it

The homestay is not very close to the city center which we actually preferred due to the amazing view over Kandy and the quite neighbourhood away from the loud and busy city. The hosts are one of the kindest and welcoming people we have met so far and we felt comfortable right from the very start. The rooms are tidy and clean (spotless) and the breakfast was also really good The owners even organized a tuk tuk driver for us who's a friend of the family. We went with him from Kandy to Sigiriyah and made plenty stops on the way (spice garden, cave tempels Dambulla). He was always very friendly, polite and we felt very safe driving with him. Also he told us so many interesting facts about the country and it's culture.

Very helpful and dedicated host. Breakfast was international with fruits from the garden, thats very tasty. Once they cooked a typical sri lanka dinner for us, that was very delicous. As Kandy can reach very high temperatures, the fan in the room was sometimes not enough to cool down. Airconditioning would be a nice extra!

We loved our stay at Mount Haven! Two super friendly owners who are ready for you every minute of the day. The first morning we were leaving for an early excursion, but they did not hesitate to make us a breakfast to go at 5AM. The second day we had a full, delicious breakfast in their home and had a lovely conversation with the hosts! The room was spacious and clean, filtered water was provided, as well as towels for showering! For sure a place were you feel at home, such a lovely atmosphere to escape from busy Kandy! Extra plus points for their cute dog Bella!

The place is very nice, super clean and the rooms are bigger than expected! The hosts are super nice and very friendly and helped us with everything we needed! I would definitely recommend staying there! It is not directly in the city centre but very close, and we liked to be off the chaotic city centre as it was really quiet at Mount Haven!

The property is located outside of busy Kandy on a hill. The views are incredible. The stay itself is really beautiful- with a nice garden. The hosts are very nice, they give really helpful tips and have a lovely dog too. They helped us a lot organizing our train ride and what else there is to explore in Sri Lanka. It’s easy to walk to Kandy or get a tuktuk. We would definitely come back again. And I highly recommend this stay

The room was very clean and comfy! The location is the perfect spot to escape the city noises! The breakfast (each day a different typical Sri Lankan breakfast dish) was fantastic and we loved sitting together with our hosts talking and getting to know them. In addition, they had many helpful recommendations for good food, activities and drivers. They really helped planning our trip :-)

Very big room with a balcony and a great view, good breakfast, nice bathroom, quiet location in Kandy but still close to centre. What really made our stay was the very kind hospitable owners and their lovely dog.

The location is perfect if you want to be a little outside of the city with a nice view and calm environment. The hosts were really nice and open, cultured people! We felt that they were actually concerned about our journey and not about making money from us. Felt a bit like being at your grandparent's home :) Unfortunately we were a bit too spontaneous in our plans and left very early in the morning so could not try the breakfast.

The room is super clean, cozy and spacious with great Mountain View on balcony. The lovely couple are very hospitable, make us feel like at own home. They show us the pictures of their family and their Chinese daughter in law :). Breakfast is nice and tasty. We had a short but nice stay there.

Perfect stay at Dr. Nimals & Lankas lovely home. During my days there I felt like being part of the family and the hosts supported in every way. Located on a calm hillside in the middle of the green in Kandy, only a 20 minutes walk from the city center. Breakfast was delicious, WiFi very good, rooms super clean and big with everything you need. If you plan a daytrip with a tuktuk please ask for Lalith (a friend of the family) who is a excellent driver, speaking very good English and able to show you the most beautiful local places. Thanks for having me as a guest!!! I will come back :-)
