A little strange smell from the washroom and the ceiling fans were a bit slow for the weather.

The location is very good, a private entry to the beach. The views from there were sublime. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was a heatwave in the area for the night I was staying in so Yohan, the manager shifted me and my roommate to a more comfortable room free of charge as it was vacant. The generosity of the host has been plenty

the localisation

The place is ok but i really didn’t like Negombo, it’s not worth to stay here the beach is not good and the city has not much for itself. The hostel is ok but didn’t like the vibe here, some rooms are with no A/C which I don’t recommend and the bars is the streets are really loud. For a night of transit it’s ok. And don’t take the 2500ruppies tuktuk for the airport, even at 5am there were some pickme for less than 1000.

Kitchen didn’t have dish washing soap and was in general not very well maintained. A lot of the facilities seemed a bit half done, gave a messy impression.

Amazing beach views! Easy to take a swim (but waves are large). All the hustle and bustle of Negombo is right outside with shops and restaurants. Close to the airport.

You can literally step right onto the beach from the hostel. They have hammocks, and most dorm beds have curtains.

the sink for the girls room was really dirty on my first day but it got better then. there is currenly a big renovation which makes the common area a bit uncomfortable (but the owner said this while booking)

the beach view is great! the owner was also great to reach and gave good advise. he even turned the AC on. he organsed an airport pickup. theres drinks in the hostel u can buy

The air conditioning is only on at night so if you're in the room during the day it's quite hot. Only 1 shared bathroom for the 4 beds. Wasn't dirty but wasnt immaculate.

I like that it was a 4 bed room rather than a 6, 8 or 10. I like the balcony that looks at the ocean and the size of the room for 4 people. The staff were super friendly. Very affordable for a great location. Give you a lock box for all your valuables.

It’s a construction site and it’s very dirty everywhere, I would not stay here for longer at the moment.

Beautiful view from the balcony and common space to the beach, perfect with the hammocks for a relaxing time before or after going to the airport. It was social for Negombo area as I think most backpackers choose this place because of the beach.

The hostal is on the front of the beach. Really nice. Wake up in the morning and see the beach. The guy is super nice and willing to help us for all you need. I highly recommend this place. On my way back before leaving the country I'll stay there
