Nothing, really happy with our stay

Really nice hotel. Rooms, food and staff all really good. Meeting room facilities also good. If we are in the area again, there aren’t lots of hotels with workshop facilities around and this one is well-established and long-standing. Definitely would stay again.

Nothing, very happy with my stay

Really nice hotel. Rooms, food and staff all really good. Meeting room facilities also good- did have an issue with a HDMI cable for the projector but managed to sort it. If we are in the area again, there aren’t lots of hotels with workshop facilities around and this one is well-established and long-standing. Definitely would stay again.

The rooms are some of the worst we have stayed in in Sri Lanka. We were so disappointed. We paid for a room with a view of the sea and to say there is a view of the sea is tenuous at best. The beds are terrible. Very hard mattresses. The aircon and fridges are very old and out of date. Bathrooms all need re doing. The staff are also not that pleasant. This was the last stop on our Sri Lanka trip and compared to every other hotel the staff where unsmiling and not nearly as warm and helpful as every other place we stayed in. They didn’t see to care if things were ok or not!

The communal areas are beautifully done. The landscaped gardens, the pool , the beach and the entrance to the property.

The room was not ideal for the price however was suitable for the stay - it was two beds not a double - when requested a double.

Right on the Beach with no other hotels close by, was nice to sit under the trees on the beach. Breakfast food was really good to try lots of Sri Lankan food I had not yet experienced.

The rooms were a little dated. However, they were clean and well maintained. The only thing we would liked to have improved is the Wifi. It is only available in certain areas, and drops out regularly. Generally speaking, in a quiet beach resort, limited wifi could have been quite nice. (Particularly if the hotel had explained the reason for it - possibly due to the remote location of the hotel?). Unfortunately, my partner and I both had significant work issues which arose whilst we were there and the general guest wifi was no where near good enough to deal with this. However, the staff quickly invited us to work in the main office where the wifi was good - good enough to do a global Teams call.

Excellent dinner buffet - terrific range of food which varied each day and was beautifully cooked. Breakfast buffet also very good. The hotel will arrange a candle lit beach dinner if you request it too. The location on the beach was beautiful - very quiet, clean beach with a hotel boat service to Pigeon Island and a Dive School operating from the hotel. The service from the staff and overall management of the hotel was superb.

Lunch at a la carte restaurant took more than an hour after ordering before food came. Nothing offered in compensation except an apology. Also property is overpriced for quality of rooms even allowing for peak season

Our second room was a budget room behind the hotel. A significant walk to facilities & the suite where the rest of family was staying. No tv or wifi in the room

The suite was exceptional, beach front with uninterrupted ocean views. The beach was very safe for young children. Breakfast was brilliant - Sri Lankan which changed daily plus good selection of western food.

dinner buffet was quite expensive - $25 USD is too much. so we went out for dinner after the first night. also, the reception and room service were not responsive to our phone calls.

excellent location - roll out of your room straight onto the pristine sands of nilaveli beach. the grounds are spacious and airy and shaded by beautiful trees, and the swimming pool is large and delightful. the staff were really nice and accomodating. the breakfast and dinner buffets are marvellous with a wide range of food but we only stuck with the (great) Sri Lankan specials. best of all was the price - around $80 USD per night was extraordinarily good value for the quality of the stay.

wifi and internet facilities really need to be improved at this property. While the general ambience is fantastic the lack of basic internet facilities is a bit of a let down. Internet is available only in one area and even that is a very choppy and sporadic service

No in room ROOM WI-FI.’ Lobby WI-FI WAS SLOW, AND DROPS OFF. Main concern is lighting in the stairways . We had very near slip and fall. The stairs are grey cement color and there was no lighting by the steps. Especially at night there was no lights the area at all. Also, there was no proper check outs procedure for early check out. We had to check out early at 6:30am , there was no one available to check out. It tool nearly 20 minutes for someone to show up.

Food was very good. Friendly Staff, Cleanliness of room and facility was good. Awesome Beach! Overall one of the best beaches we have been to.

There was no Wifi in the rooms.

I was looking for a pristine beach in Trinco and the location of the hotel was ideal. It was well maintained, clean and the sunrises were magnificent. The food was good too. Highly recommended.

Breakfast is good, but could have some more verities in the menu.

Beach is clean and very peaceful. We enjoyed lot on the beach. It was shallow, however, bit rough may be due to the seasonal effect.

Lacked a little character but well run.

Simple clean 3 star property on the beach. Well trained staff, clean rooms. Good beach. Reliable if not stellar. Pool was pleasant and the trees have great shade.

Even at the other dining area near the beach side same thing, crows diving and grabbing food from plates. I had a crow dive into my cocktail twice. The staff knows about this problem they said, but no solution. Other hotels I’ve seen have put thin netting around the meal areas.

Nicely designed hotel. Food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the seafood barbecue on the beach though all the food was very good. Great swimming pool.
